Absolutely incredible work. If someone did not know it was a diorama, they would be easily fooled. Every single detail is perfect. Simply WOW!

'Forest Find' - Third and final upgrade...hopefully!!!!

That Landrover is superbly done! One of my father's neighbors had a Landrover like that next to his house for well over 25 years. It looked almost EXACTLY like that with the same amount of decay and debris. If you took away the trees, added a house on the passengers side and pretty much had the rest the same, it would be his neighbor's wreck! WELL done. Sadly, the guy passed and the family was finally able to haul it away about 2 years ago. -

1995 Corvette 6 speed, 2018 Chevy Silverado LTZ 1500, 2022 Honda CRV, 2023 Thor Resonate Class A motorhome. And until last week, for thirty years, a 1991 Mustang GT that we just turned over to a new caretaker. -

I use regular automotive enamels with the regular enamel reducer. I don't find the odor to be too bad, though I am VERY used to it. I use lacquer thinner to clean everything, and have never used acrylic paints. Since most of what I do is build trucks and equipment, I don't hardly ever use clear, and many times I use a flattening agent for the colors to achieve a better scale finish. I do not use hardeners. I usually use MR. Surfacer primers/fillers. I've been painting full size cars, trucks, equipment, and about every vehicle type you can think of for my whole life, and just get my paints now at the local auto parts store, in 1/2 pint sizes, and have found everything I need right there.

Autocar U-7144 is done

I'll take two!! Incredible work as always Charlie! -
When I completed this build, I was never happy with the forward rake of the cab. So…..finding myself with time to get to the bench after over a year away from it, first thing I addressed was to correct the rake. Am MUCH happier with it now! Having just recently retired and sold my business, I see LOTS more time at the bench in my future!

A new . . . . Hornet?!
redneckrigger replied to peteski's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
With the announcement that Chrysler will no longer make their muscle cars after 2023, this is the face of the future, along with EV's? Not in my garage, no sir. Just bought a new truck. Have always been a GM guy, so went to look at the new Silverados. Found that GM was selling their full size 1500 crew cabs that weigh 5000 pounds with a 2.7L turbo 4 cylinder engine. Nope, sorry..................I chose the 5.3, that is rated at just 1 MPG less than the 2.7. Yup, I am an old guy that does not like change. But a 2.7, even with high torque ratings, in a 5000 pound full size truck? Again, nope. -

Absolutely superb work as always Charlie! Now, you should build a few 1/25th C-46's or C-47's to put the halves and the body in!!!
