Cheers Erik, if it wasn't being sold for $8 when I picked it up I would never have bought it .. like you said because of the ugly box art. If folks can see that it can actually look alright, then that's a good thing.

Ok, I just googled the 66 Chevelle and many of the builds I got in the search do look pretty good. So I wonder why this kit is a dog?

Thank you guys, goin' by that aweful build/color they have on the box... it's wasn't too hard to make it look better! Lol I don't think i'll be looking at any other Lindberg kits in the future.

Thanks for the kind words Monty, the chassis is a one piece job, things like the tailshaft, diff housing, exhaust etc are all molded into it. I will take a couple pics of what you asked for a little later tonight after dinner.

Thanks! I really didn't have very high expectations at the start of this build, just looking at the box art was nearly enough to make me put it back on the shelf but I thought "i'll just knock it out and see what happens"

Recently completed this one from Lindberg, It was one of the bargains I picked up at Ollies for $8 about a year ago. A very basic kit, all the parts needed trimming of flash and cleaning up so they would fit together. Paint is VHT ceramic hi-heat silver, wheels are from a AMT 72 Nova.

Hey Pat, thanks yessir that stance is unaltered, I would perhaps prefer it a little lower but it'll do. Thanks Andy... I was going to go with April Gold and put a vinyl roof on it as I originally wanted it to look like the car in the photo below and ya never know I might just build another one and do that ;-)

My DD is a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero XLS 3.5.. she's got a few years on her now but the miles are low and she's in awesome condition. My weekend ride is a 2003 Mustang GT I have spent a bunch time and money on, she's getting a two page spread in an upcoming edition of Stang magazine.
