  1. I guess saying " That doesn't float my boat, so I ain't gonna buy one." Isn't really any different than saying : WOW! Great review Tim and great job AMT / Round2 bring back an old kit in a modern way. Just looking at what Tim has shown us, I'm in just to enjoy the new presentation, love the box art and the way they packaged this one. I'd like to see more kits presented this way.
  2. and another thread gets buried below an out dated thread from the past. Starting at post #84 this is about the "new" Revell kit and posibilites for AMT / Round 2 coming up with a preemptive strike. Starting at post #86 we have yet another thread about coming up with alternatives to the original kit Revell has announced for their second quarter release, But let's just lump this all into a thread about what Model A Ford kits are available. Yes, it's all "The Same Group."
  3. Check out the instructions http://manuals.hobbico.com/rmx/85-4909.pdf
  4. . . . what else can you come up with on your own ? Some of these are easy to come by and others are not. Good luck on that last one.
  5. Reminds me of these, when I was a little older. Reading some of the reviews on these kits, they were also " Build N' Play" , although not marketed as such. and, if you're interested, Revell is reissuing all of these and more.
  6. With the dock strike eminent , and the release date being second quarter, how quick could Round2 get a reissue of their old stalwart '29 Model A roadster on the shelves? Maybe send it through the Panama Canal ? Remember ol' Shel' did it to Chevy with his GT-500 KR
  7. Goofy or not, great job.
  8. My first car was a 1931 Model A Ford. So put me down for one of these. Yeah, I know, it's a Deuce.
  9. hot rod noun 1. a motor vehicle that has been specially modified to give it extra power and speed. verb 1. drive a hot rod. 2. modify (a vehicle or other device) to make it faster or more powerful.
  10. Yep these parts are out there . "Parts Pack" ?

  12. Long ago I was ask to judge a model contest my brother put on in our neighborhood. One of the cars didn't win because it "Wasn't Painted". It just looked like he polished the plastic body. Much to our surprise, the model was painted. White. It was a very good paint job, inside and out ( topic of another thread, painting where one doesn't normally look.). So, this can go either way. I've judged recent regional shows where models weren't painted, just polished. It took a second look. One did trophy. Heard a lot on this board: "Build it your way".
