  1. Sadly we don't get too many real numbers here. Some kinda top secret if I tell ya I'd have to kill ya kinda mentality. Yeah, I know , it's there business and "they" don't want anyone else to know. However just a simple did it work or not would be nice. Seeing the Revell Deuce kits keep rolling along must be a good sign,( wonder what's next ?} and the other two ,'47 Ford and Merc' are still on the shelves. A four door ?
  2. OK, thought it over, maybe there is a market for these here, just for the reason Jeff stated, I can't do it. Do it for me. Did it work for these kits ? all chopped up and ready to go. Look at possibly the most popular year car at most hot rod / rat rod shows now. Where they diggin em all up from ? https://www.google.com/search?q=1947+ford+coupe+model+kit&es_sm=93&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=q6NuU7G2DJKDogSN_oJI&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAg&biw=1600&bih=799#q=1930+model+a+ford+hot+rod&tbm=isch&imgdii=_ Now work in all the possibilities, Stock, '28-'29 ; '30- '31; hot rod, rat rod, coupe, two door, roadster, drag race , Bonneville, street rod,( this could go on forever) and it takes off just like the Revell 1/25th scale Deuce kits did.Just get it in the right scale. The old Monogram 1930 series is great but there's the howling of the 1/25th scale guys. and they're still churnin em out.
  3. WHAT ? No front brakes ? You don't think yer gonna get by tech without any carb covers do you ?
  4. Ok, simple question here, what do YOU think about this hot rod car ? I'm asking for YOUR opinion. Now be aware, this may get moved to the model question area or maybe even tacked on to some obscure post we haven't seen in a long while.
  5. Maybe not the Model A. looks like there's plenty o' room in them MOPARS.
  6. "Ricky Bobby" ? Really ? Years ago my wife's 2nd grade class named their class mascot "Ricky Bobby" she couldn't understand why.
  7. Flat box or shoe box ? and just look at them HEMIs and decals ?
  8. Funny you should say that, just what I was thinking, what a bear it must have been to cast. Certainly a little bit different than the injection "molding" we're used to in plastic.
  9. History, whys and wherefores right here: http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/mmo12007.html
  10. they do look wild.
  11. 1964 Dodge Ramcharger & Plymouth Super Stock 426 Stage III Short Ram Engine with Tri-Y Exhaust Manifolds. The Stage III Max Wedge engine was the scourge of the drag strips in the early 1960s. Chrysler made one last improvement with these gigantic cast iron exhaust manifolds called "Tri-Y". It is estimated that less than 10 were actually built in this configuration, mainly because these Tri-Y manifolds were not only super heavy, the very first thing all drag teams did was take off thefactory cast iron manifolds and bolt on custom tubing headers. Looks like they used em on something. http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php/353309-The-Buzz-with-Steve-Mags-Swap-Meet-Treasure-Hunt
  12. you didn't look under my bed.

  16. That's what makes this forum so exciting. Where did my post go? I just posted a thread about building a 1:1 Super Stock motor with some great looking headers that are available in several kits and it got moved to the Question and answer section. Go figure.
  17. http://www.fantasyjunction.com/cars/index/Inventory/page:1 What's this ? A BLUE tranny on a 427 Cobra ?
  18. and just as Robert feared , here we are again : " but I've hesitated because of what I fear it could degenerate into, I'm hoping for everyone to resist the urge to throw out the fantasy wish list: I'd love to be able to build the family cars from my childhood, but let's be honest: nobody in a million years is going to tool up a 68 Impala 4-door sedan with a straight 6 or an 84 LTD station wagon."
  19. More good stuff here : http://www.moparmax.com/columns/magnante/vi_1-1.html
