I just got one of these at Hobby Bench 30% off or otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. It is very toy like. However, I did salvage some good stuff from the kit (?). The body is metal with suicide doors and is chopped. They say it's 1/24th scale but checking it does fit the Revell '32 frame the body being a little wide but still fits in front and back, giving you a highboy with the frame tucked in. Now for the other good stuff, clear skull shifter, bomber style seats, neat wheels and tires. http://maisto.wordpress.com/tag/allstars/

OK, let's back the wagon up here. "Wouldn't it be neat to see this one again? ONLY ALL FIXED UP ? " I certainly agree with everyone's comments, however Casey's post of the instructions didn't help, WOW! those bring back memories, maybe that's where I'm waxing nostalgic. But what I'm saying is; If Revell and others can "fix up" other kits maybe this would be a good candidate for the same spruce up.Even if they just tweeked all the hinges. Now go look ay Casey's post again and tell me those instructions don't tug at your nostalgic heart strings.

Wouldn't it be neat to see this again, only all fixed up.

A quintessential hot rod at best. I do follow cars of this ilk, here on the MCM board, many different hot rod magazines , local shows and regional Goodguys events. I felt it was a refreshing combination of ideas not seen on a regular basis, and certainly fodder for a good build on this board. A great combination of ideas, chopped top,engine, reversed '39 style headlights, stance, color, WOW! and with flames too.New to me at least.

That's a given. What I'm suggesting is that they have at least a sample that Stacey David already has in his hot little hands and isn't sharing it with us.

I recently saw an episode of GearZ and noticed a built up kit of Stacey's Rat Roaster roadster (1/25th). They showed it a couple times. Well, they had it in view a few times.Anyone else notice this ? It was definitely 1/25th scale.
