  1. This one was my second built that I was able to finish up recently. It's also my favorite so far because this was my first 1:1 car. My real one was more of a cherry/pepper red. This one is painted with Testors Honduras Maroon with Future on top. I didn't take chassis or engine pics because this kit was lacking in those two areas. But it does make a decent curbside. Thanks for looking and comments are welcomed. Terry
  2. Thanks Tom. I work in Columbus and live just south of Plain City. Been lurking around awhile and yeah there is definitely tons of info here!

Thanks Tom. Yes that is the Monogram kit. From what remember the kit went together pretty well. I was actually trying to keep the swing set out of the pics but it was that or the above ground pool on the other side of the yard. That's a cool play set build. My granddaughter would love that. So far my only scratch build is a model of my pop-up camper(without the ability to pop-up) I'll have to post a couple pics of that at some point.
  4. Those are all beautiful builds! I especially like the Ford truck and the Charger. It looks like you could climb in, start them up and drive away!! All excellent builds. Very impressive.

This is the first model I built when I got back into modeling about 4 years ago. Before that the last model I built I was probably about 10.(now pushing 50!) It was also my first attempt at BMF. I know I probably could have started on something a little easier to foil but hey jump in head first. Right? Anyway forget what paint I used but after a few weeks to a month or so the paint cracked in several places as you can see in some of the pics. Anyone have a suggestion as to why that might have happened? BTW I did not use any clear over the paint. Hope the pics work! This was also my first and only attempt at homemade plug wires. I have since bought some of the pre-made distributors for future use.
  6. Hello to all. I got back into modeling about four years ago or so and was only able to complete one model because my daughter and two year old granddaughter moved in with us for about two years. Love my granddaughter to pieces but her and building models don't go together. Hope that someday we can build some together. Anyway fast forward to about four months ago and they move into their own place and I have been able to finish up some projects that were in process of building. I will be posting those in Under Glass in the next few days. Thanks for reading! P.S. As you can probably tell by my screen name I'm a fan of 1969 Muscle cars in particular.
