This is the Monogram Shelby GT 350 kit. The decals were missing when I got this kit from a friend an few years ago. The decals used on this were "borrowed" from another kit. I decided to go with yellow and paint my own stripes(first attempt at that). I know the stripes are too far apart for a Mustang but it was the narrowest masking tape that I had at the time.
  5. Not sure about over time yet. But I do know you don't want to use them for your purple pond. They don't hold up to that very long. Found that out the messy way.
  6. I picked up a couple of these in the baked goods section at the local Walmart. First properly dispose of tasty contents. I like to dispose of mine with a glass of milk. Then clean and remove stickers. Not fancy but it keeps the dust off and lets me spend more of my money on models, and of course doughnuts too!!
  7. Man that is super nice!! Very realistic. Awesome build!!
  8. Just wondering if anyone keeps a log or journal of your past builds? I only have a few built so far so I thought this would be a good time to start one now. So I was wondering what you keep track of. Year, Model, Kit maker , color and brand of paint etc Thoughts and or comments?.
  9. Me likey!!

Did this one 3 or 4 years ago so I really don't remember what primer I used, but I probably only waited a day or less to paint it.

After posting this earlier I went back and looked at my paint stash and I'm about 99% sure the paint is testors one coat lacquer De Ja Blue.
  22. Thanks Harry. It's been 3 or 4 years since I did the interior on this, but if I remember I used a silver artist pencil over the black paint.
  23. Thanks Greg. Yeah my 1:1 had Cragers on it so I had to "borrow" those wheels from another kit. Had to have those on this model.
  24. Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I might be a wee bit bias because i owned a 1:1 of this car but I have always preferred the A-body Cuda's (especially the fastbacks) to the E-bodys. Although there are some awesome examples of the E-bodys on this forum, and I have one in my stash to build someday.
