  1. The interior is going to be furnished. I'm hoping I can get the scale right on the furnishings.
  2. Wife found some thinner rubber bands from Doller Tree, there's two thicknesses. Just go with the thin ones. They were specifically with the black hair care products.
  3. The styrene angle braces are a great idea. When I saw how flimsy it was I started framing it with skinny popsicle sticks. Also made some more progress on the engine and chassis:
  4. An update..... I found a better solution to the pulley belts, got the rails for the chassis extended still need to clean them up, and got the sleeper rough build done.
  5. I wish I had seen your message before I started using them. I busted 2 of the bits using them with the rotary tool. However, once I started using them as finger drills they cut right through anything extremely smooth. Thank you for the tip. I think I would have busted them all through trial and error.
  6. Only cost 31 bucks for both. Had a 33% coupon for the rotary tool. A few of the carbide bits are thickness of a hair so most of them will probably get used in the pin vise. But all in all I expect to get a couple years use at least.
  7. Great day at Harbor Freight today. Got a new rotary tool and a complete set of precision carbide drill bits.
  8. Looks great.
  9. Nice job. Welcome back.
  10. Great looking job.
  11. I haven't been able to find MCM at any of the Barnes and Nobles or HobbyTownUSAs in Colorado Springs yet.
  12. Just got all these in the mail for free....
  13. I took over the kitchen table. I got a nice piece of plexi-glass to cover it so I don't tear it up.
  14. i played it smart JT. I got the wife in to models too. She is working on her first one now, the Lindberg 39' custom ford van. Thanks Dennis.
  15. Thanks Rob. It is definitely still a work in progress.
  16. Anyone know where I can find some good detail pics of where all the hoses and stuff start and end at? I really don't know anything about a big rig engine.
  17. Been getting the engine worked on. Still doing some detailing. Having trouble finding right scale belt for pulleys. Using one of my wife's hair bands for now.
  18. I started the engine this morning. I think this is only my second or third time doing a level three. It's pretty fun so far. Needs a little bit of putty work then the engine is off for painting. I'm liking the kit so far.
  19. To make things simpler and to know I had a kit I could do I went and picked up the Peterbilt 359 California Hauler. This is my official B.R.B.O. entry.
