  1. I was under the impression that a "snap" kit just entailed the snap-tite kits. So if anything this was a learning experience. Out of curiosity, is there a way to see if a kit is a "snap" kit prior to purchasing?
  2. I actually sent him a PM telling him I was gonna extend the sleeper more, extend the chassis, then extend the fuel tanks and eerything else that would go along with the extension. I'm also going to build the inside as well i.e.: bigger bed, refrig, cabinets and everything else to fill the extension. Hopefully he comes back and tells me it's good to go. Thank you for letting me know this.
  3. I'm doing the Kenworth W900. Can some one please change topic from "Saved" to Kenworth W900 please.
  4. Going to hobby store tonight to pick up my kit. I'll post as soon as I know what it is.
  5. Thanks for the info Aaronw. I'm definitely going to be keeping my eyes open for that tank.
  6. Ok so I was posting I was gonna be at Hobby Town tonight and realized I was looking at the sheet they gave me there that said modelers showed up tonight from 5:00-9:00. Just reread your post Ken and realized I missed Tuesday night. Anyone else gonna be there tonight?
  7. Thanks for the info rand. I didn't think about the snowmobile tracks. That helps a lot.
  8. What I'm trying build the horde trike from Azeroth Choppers. I'm thinking I can get the front tire from a tractor kit. I just wasn't sure what scale tank tracks would look best for the back to tire assemblies. Unfortunately I'm on a work computer and can't save pictures to link to. If you google azeroth choppers horde bike it should come up with what I'm trying to build.
  9. I have an idea I want to try for my first time trying to scratch build. Does anyone know what size scale model tank tracks would fit best with a 1/25 scale car?
  10. I'll give the Americana ones you mentioned a try. Thanks for the info.
  11. Thanks for the tip Ace. Works much better. Not sure how I missed that.
  12. Ok, I did some searching and couldn't find the answer to my question. Sorry if I missed it and asking a repeat. What is the difference between let's say MM acryls and regular hobby acrylics? Thanks for responses.
  13. I was reading the 2013 handbook in the out of the box section. Am I understanding it correctly that out of the box means no modifications at all and not just adding aftermarket parts? For example I'm understanding it as I can't even drill put my exhaust and add black wash.
  14. JT this looks amazing. I don't even know if I want to pull mine out of the box and start it.
  15. Ok, I'll give different lighting a try. Thanks for the tip.
  16. LOL. Tried them once and then threw them from the sorting box to the sprue box. That cross bar is something else. And not to mention the balancing act with them.
  17. One critique I give myself is get a digital camera instead of using the iPad.
