  2. They are all painted on and then detailed with gel gens. Thanks Plow i real did like yours ! Makes me want to hunt down 1 and build it like yours is .
  3. What a super cool concept ! VERY NICE !
  4. Mike i dont care for the hood being closed off up front but i do like the groves ,and the rest of build is sweet ! Nice idea .
  5. For a head start look at Modelhaus or R&R for bumpers the rest should be just plastic and sanding !

  8. Now a few months later down the road i got side tracked with my twin's and got busy ! LOL! Here it is awaiting finial primer on the body work ! And then it hit me on the way this is going to be setting and looking ! What you guys thinks ? Pretty cool surf wagon don't you think? Thanks for letting me share i'll be keeping you all updated on my project as i advance !
  9. Also started to work ideas on the inside ! I dont know just yet at this point which way i'll turn with it but i am just working out ideas ! OR going to go as a beach cruzier /surf shop work wagon ?
  10. Now after the start of the body work ! After all the sanding on the joints and body work it was time to re-add the side moldings so i like to do mine in mud so here it is !
  11. Ok i love cuttin into old kits and making my own items so here's my 1970 impala crossed with a Johan Ambulance to make a long story short LOTS OF CUTTING ! after some cutting on 2 70 impala and hacking up the Johan body here is what it looks like !

  13. wow pretty neat and taste full !
  14. After seeing plowboy's post i thought it was time to post mine up ! Unlike his mine was not cut as much. I reworked the ext window to be a big single instead of the narrow double, made a rear roll pan , and customized the grill, aswell as adding vette seats inside and some custom after market die cast wheels ! Hope you enjoy this and thanks for letting share !
  15. Well my response to this based on my own stash is I AM NOT ! I am however a builder so if its in my stash i will either builder it or part it out ! Some are just out to grab what ever they can afford with no means of building so them i would call the HOARDERS ! Like my sig says fellas LETS BUILD UM NOT SHADOW THEM !
  16. WOW ! I would love to have this on my work bench and have my way with her behind closed doors LOL! Very nice job .
  17. Man i'm not a race car builder brother but this horse here is really nice and has that eye catching paint scheme . NICE JOB!
  18. MAn another cool bug . We need to have a bug off one of these days they have always made a statement in the auto scene !
  19. MAN this is a cool build ! I really like everything about it .
  20. Very nice i love it !
  21. Well here is my pic sorry for the size i need to update it anyways !
  22. I use all automotive colors like PPG , Duppont, Matrix, and American Finishes as well as the real Val Spar HOK. Plus all i use is real 3 part clears from Nason as it works great for scale models and is WAY CHEAPER then PPG . I spary with a jamming gun or MINI cut in gun and air brushes so on my colors i mix 1:1 with thinner instead of reducer so it doesn't dry as thick and flashes faster ! By doing it this way it will not leave the build up on the car as some have spoke about having problems with. I also only use auto body 3m masking tape. Its a bit pricey fellas but it cuts great and as you can see that if its applied correctly it has no bleeding. Now on the clear i use i use Nason Its a 4:1 but i mix mine 4:2:1 4 parts clear 2 parts med temp active 1 parts urathane reducer fast If you use Thinner in place of the reducer if will dull the clear down and you'll have to spend a ton of time cutting it and polishing to relive the luster of the clear ! Plus by doing it this way i can wet sand and polish if it needs it or start building my kit with in 6-8 after appling clear ! And like stated above if you still feel that you edges are being felt you can wet sand it with 1500 and then reapply clear as needed but when using a mixed clear you get great build up and they also sell a style called HI SOILDS but its a tad costly but 2 coats vs 4 and your done ! I hope any of this post helps any one and thanks for your comments ! I leave you with another build !
  23. Here's a style that i did a few years back ! Hope this brings some ideas to you and if you fall short pm me i would like to have another and am willing to trade !
  24. Man i really am enjoying this rebuild ! I need to get on the hunt and snag my self another 60 !
