  1. Here's the same kit, mine was molded in blue
  2. Hey Guys! I've been pushing this opened parachute around the parts box for almost 15 years, thinking I'll do something with it someday... Finialy did something with it! Using floral wire and a suction cup, I soldered the wires to the suction cup hook and bent the wire so it was hanging a few scale feet off the ground. I need to fine tune the wires as you can see a few loose ones. Now I can "Hang the laundry out" for pictures, etc...
  3. Here's what I have so far...... I'm going to use a 2" piece of copper pipe as a buck for the arc of the plow, I thinking if I lay a piece of sheet styrene on the pipe and wave the heat gun over it until it relaxes to the shape then cool it, it should hold that shape. The quadrant is going to be a piece of sprue (a corner heated to relax the 90 degree open to about 130 degrees...
  4. I would suggest a bandana between the iron and the wax paper. To keep the wax off the iron, so it doesn't get transfer to the first piece of clothing ironed... ask me how i know
  5. It's the new (well not so new anymore) Testors one coat laquer. The can says "Blazing Black". I was thinking it was a non-matellic black... Suprise It's a metallic. I let it sit for a few days to see if I still liked it and it grew on me.

  9. I streched the frame on the Monogram Ford F350 to make a rollback towtruck. If your going out to by strip styrene get the C channel, It is stronger by nature. I also added a X member using a sprue from the kit. Once its sanded it looked factory. The Jardin website has all kinds of good info. I got the wheelbase info from them and strched it to one of their models.
  10. It was nice to find the bumper and door handles that weren't show on the box. Some Torque Thrusts out of the parts box took care of the gold chainer rims..
  11. LOL, That's the ledgendary Kenneth Howard AKA Von Dutch. And I think he was picking a bug out of his nose after a ride on his bike. I'll have my new name card out on the table, stop by and say hi...
  12. If there is one, I'd like to see it too. I just downloaded a bunch of info off the Western plow website and was going to make a run at building one. I can go measure a friend of mine's 1:1 plow to fill in the missing info.
