Latest of the bench, really nice kit and a pleasure to build, this one is painted in dupli colour aerosol spray, I used the airbrush on the chassis and interior using Vallejo acrylics my new favourite paint. This was built as a community project on YouTube.

Thats is stunning, I have a load of parts upstairs from the original issue of this kit...no bodies though which is a shame !

Great looking truck, about to start my 1st ever truck kit later this week, been building cars for years ....but never a truck.

What kit were these steelies from ?
Mr Stock replied to Mr Stock's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Cheers guys, I was way off with Mopar then, I do have all 4 wheels just didn't want to end up putting them on a completely wrong car!, so early 70s Corvette or other Chevy. Might make a cast of these to make some spares from resin. -
Hi all, I got this et of steelies in a big box of parts Im hoping that someone can identify them, I think they are AMT and they probably date from the late 60s ish, (the box of parts were mostly model T parts from the 60s Double T issue.) I'm thinking Mopar but I'm probably way out.....

Ordered one of these from the US today, to be shipped over the pond....almost half the price for what you can get it for here in the UK

Moebius Tim Flock '56 Chrysler 300b with photo-etch
Mr Stock replied to S. Svendsen's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
That just looks amazing Sean!, that boxart has to be one of the nicest Ive seen, I built the 55 Tim Flock Chrysler last year and that turned out real nice, so I will be getting one of these when they are released. -
I built this one about 10 years ago, its a really nice kit and I thoroughly enjoyed building it. I can only echo what others have said about the front end ride height and the wheels sticking out too far, I built mine box stock apart from the wheels, definitely time for me to buy this one again and fix the above issues, certainly one of AMT's better kits. Excuse the old photos.

Superb, nice to see it in white, must find me one of these kits.

Goldline, redline, blueline tire decals
Mr Stock replied to Mr Stock's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks Casey, Ill check that site out, and yes you're correct we do spell Tires as Tyres, but I figure Im on and US site so I try to use the US spellings and names if I can remember ....Fenders,windshields, trunks and hoods can confuse me though when Im used to calling them wings, windscreens, boots and bonnets. Thanks again -
Emhar, Bedford OLB LWB O Series 5-ton Tanker
Mr Stock replied to Luc Janssens's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
These are beautiful kits, I had the SWB tipper version, and Ive seen this tanker and the new wrecker up close, very nice -
I have this kit looked it over a few times, I have to agree on the wheels they just do not suit this model, I will be replacing these with something more suitable. One thing Id like to know is how the chassis is secured when you assemble the kit.?, I have looked over it and the chassis is too narrow and doesn't seem to have any definite location points at all, was this kit always like this ?. It looks like it originally had two screw posts in front of the rear bumper but these are no longer moulded into the body.

Amazing work....very very nice, you are a talented man Harry

Tony that looks very sharp, first one I have seen done in white, this is one of my favourite kits, I have 3 in the stash to do.

Broken bodyshells (posts, frames etc)
Mr Stock replied to Mr Stock's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Fantastic thanks Bill and Bill !, My main issue was fixing the top windshield frame on a Fujimi Ferrari Daytona it had split right in the middle and no matter how I tried with glue I could not get the plastic to look like it did originally it kept wanting to arch itself up...if that makes sense. rather than glue flat. I will be trying the reinforcing method to fix an early 70s AMT Chevy van shell which I have, its broken in two on the scuttle panel (not sure if you guys call it the same) . -
Brilliant video Chris, I experimented back along using Vallejo acrylics on a Dodge Polara shell, Ive never thought about using Klear over the top I will definitely be giving this a go as using rattle cans is so weather dependent and its always raining over here in the UK. Just one quick question say on that 58 Impala with that really nice copper metallic did you spray that staright from the bottle thinned with windscreen washer fluid, or did you thin it with Klear?. Ive subscribed to your channel, keep up the good work mate.

Hi all Ive got a few "older" kits in my stash that have suffered damage over the years, and Id like to put this question out there and see what you guys do in this situation. How do you permanently and successfully fix a snapped windshield post, or a break in the middle of the top of a windshield frame, Ive tried gluing the damaged halves back together but I can never get it to look right. So do you just glue the break?, or maybe pin it ? Over to you ........

Thanks for all the comments guys, the drivers side valve cover has now been reattached the correct way round !, and I have added a blackwash between the headlamps.

Looking fantastic Bruce, like everyone else I love the colour.

Well spotted Andy...that will be fixed, for some reason I never noticed
