The New tool Beetles, mk1 Minis and Mk1 Golf kits were nice additions but I have to say this years line up is a bit dissapointing for me, and thats only going by my own taste in what id like to see kitted.I can see that others will love all the modern tooling thats coming out....just not my cup of tea. Revell AG have been running that wishlist/dreamkit thing on their website now for a couple of years and there are some cars/vans that have received loads of votes it would be nice to think we may see some of these kits someday. Who knows perhaps something may be announced at Nuremberg next week?.

I know exactly what you mean Ray, I think they put them on every decal sheet in the early 60s ! Lol Here is where Im at with this one now, de-chromed the bumpers, all the glued on bits taken off and the body cleaned cleaned up, Ive painted on dabs of Mr surfacer to see where the damage is that will need fixing.

This beauty arrived from the US today an AMT1963 Buick riviera, its in pretty good shape, unpainted, few parts glued on the body so a bit of glue residue to clean up, even the glass isnt glued in ! I do need a pair of stock wheels an air cleaner and a stock grille with headlights if anybody can help, i know Modelhaus does some parts for it.

Ray thats beautiful, I wish I could get Black to lay down that nice, but then like you mention you have the weather on your side, we certainly don't in the UK its pretty cold at the moment. Are the tamiya compounds good?, Ive been meaning to try them but keep pitting it off. Great build mate

Beuatiful Tulio, I envy your painting skills its flawless !, I also enjoy building these older kits, they lend themselves well to detail painting and adding a few parts box items that can really bring them to life. Another cracking build mate.

Great work John, the colour really pops, I built this one the first time around from the Promodeller kit, I have 2 more in the stash to do, its one of my favourite kits . I must remember to the modification on the swage moulding on the rear fender on these older release kits though.

Played guitar and bass for over 22 years, I was a bass player in a Rockabilly/rock n roll band for a number of years, havent been in a band for about 10 years now, but I still play for practice a lot. Still own my two Fender basses, a Telecaster an Epi Les paul and a Gibson SG special and a couple of acoustics. All the big amplifiers have been sold on over the years , I use Fender modelling amps now for both guitar and bass (Mustang and Bronco).
