  4. Good luck, Rusty! Hope you guys have a huge turn-out and a terrific show!
  5. I can see the advertisement: 'Rare, valuable classic - hard to find! A little cosmetic clean up and ready to cruise!' Nice job.
  6. It's all about the money. How about penalize the Patriots by letting them play the Super Bowl but any and ALL winnings ($) go directly to charities selected by the OTHER NFL teams (none for the Pats' favorite charities). Thus, they can play . . . they can claim the prestige of however the game goes . . . but they cannot profit. THAT would be a significant penalty, not the customary 'pocket change' symbolic penalties that no one (especially the offender) cares about.

  8. Looks great! {Love Corvairs!} Question: It looks a little high in the front end. Did you raise it, or is that the kit's stance? Regardless, that's an excellent black finish!!!
  9. It's a little different, but still higher quality than average magazines. It's going to take some adjustment to get used to the reduced color content, but at least the QUALITY of the articles and content is still there. Actually a very good issue . . . just a little ... different ... than we've been used to.
  10. Gluing styrene tire halves together and achieving a long-lasting bond is no problem, if you're using a solvent-type liquid glue like Tenax or MEK. The tendency of the "old" plastic tires to fall apart over the years was due to the old tube glues, which really did nothing to meld plastic parts together. Super glue is an improvement on tube glue, but it still works much the same way. Solvent types actually melt the styrene and intermix the molecules from both parts.

  15. Memories. From WAY back then.
  16. Nice work. Another thing about the reel-to-reel decks in show cars back in them days: Often the tape deck was there as a 'high-tech state of the art' accessory statement, but they also did double-duty - at car shows. Exhibitors often had recorded narratives describing the displayed car, its features and construction details. They often played those narratives and inspiring music from the tape decks and speakers in the cars while on display.
  17. Stunning!
