However, some critically judged contests make it clear that the entire model will be judged, including examination of the undercarriage/underside. In those competitions, it matters greatly and untreated ejector pin marks, mold lines, parting lines, and copyright engraving are deal-breakers. If one is building with a plan to never show or compete, no problem. One just shouldn't take pix of the underside when one is bragging about his world-class best ever build.

Art is absolutely correct (as usual); the photo depicts an earlier Hudson campaigned by Tim Flock. The second issue of the Moebius Hudson kit, commissioned by Model King, is a '53 version and is somewhat different than this one. The pic shown is the pic that was used to illustrate the sneakpeak announcement. The Moebius model should look more like this ... And Art can correct me again if this isn't close; I have no problem with that. I'll be looking forward to seeing Art's test shot pix anyway. I'm just REALLY looking forward to getting my hands on the Moebius kits!
