  1. I really like this cabin, looking very good.
  2. Great truck, i love the colour. You ordered Uschi's chrome powder? Hope you'll get it soon. It is really great.
  3. Thanks to all! I trying my best. Today i got some parts from CTM and change the battery box to the box from Illini Replica, which is closer on the truck i want to build up. And i put up three marker lights to the front bumper. And then the thing that i fear, the painting. First, the golden stripe. It need some corrections on the shape on front, but overall i am satisfield. The next was the red panel, i am happy with it, but when i stripped off the masking tape i'm stuck at the cabin und pull off a little bit of the red colour on the back. But it is not really bad because i will sanding again anyway. Thank you very much for looking in, hope you'll like it a little bit. Greetings, Michael
  4. Thank you very much, i have already the five hole wheels from DTR here, must order this two holes. ;-)
  5. Outstanding! Brian, which rims and wheels do you use? They looking really great such like the whole truck.
  6. Hey guys, thank you very very much for your statements. I did some work in the cabin, the interior will be red and become a carpet with flocking. The front bumper from Illini Replica is not really good and i decided to make a new one with 0,3mm aluminium sheet and some bolts from Meng. Now i'm waiting for some parts from CTM and be back soon. Greetings, Michael
  7. Beautiful work, i will looking your further progress.
  8. Great Job Jacobus, i will looking forward your work.
  9. Thank you all! I've got a few new pictures for you if you want. Backlights are from ctm and the battery box become a layer of Bare Metal Foil. The fenders are plated with AlcladII and logo out of the desktop printer. Fuel Tanks are made out of 0,3mm Aluminium Sheet, the tank straps are adhesive Stripes. For the connections on the tanks i cast the connections from a Revell of Germany Peterbilt with Plastilin and poured it with resin. The hoses were replaced with wire. At last, the mudflaps. Now i can go on with the cabin. Thanks to all for looking in, have a nice weekend. Michael
  10. I can say, it is worth it, i was there in 2006, it's amazing. Have many fun there. Thanks to all.
  11. Thanks very much for your interesting. Last weeks I have not much time to read and post here. Today I can show you some progress on frame and engine. The frame is painted with Purple Red from Revells Aqua Color. The egine got a slight washing with Dark Wash from MIG and blurred with White Spirit. Some rusty pigment on turbocharger and exhaust give a used look. For the cooler hoses i used wire with shrinking tubes toasted by a lighter. A slightly washing on the frame and a first mock up with wheels. But which wheels shall i use? A difficult decision. I have the choice of (from left to right) aitm tires and rims, Italeri tires and aitm rims, Italeri tires and KFS rims, Double Take Replicas tires and rims or the wheels from the kit. Fortunately i wear black socks on this photo. The wheels from the kit are too small. And the winner is...Italeri Tires and aitm rims. They were coated with AlcladII Chrome. And now this the current status. Thanks all for your interest. Greetings, Michael
  12. Here you'll find one. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/110863-kenworth-bullnose-illini-replica/
  13. Thanks very much to all.
  14. Thanks you all for your condolences! On last days there were not much time for hobby. But i can show a little progress. Engine and frame were built and colored with Black Primer from Vallejo. The frame is not ready but i want a first coat to rech all points. The front axle is from Peterbilt Fire Truck from Revell of Germany. The engine get a coat with Yellow Ocre from Vallejo. And i'm not really satisfield with my grille and i did a new one. Greetings, Michael
  15. Thank you very much Sean. Sergey, you did this scratch building? It's an outstanding job. Really great. That's too much for me and mine sure will not good as yours. Your second link shows a Mack W-71, which is beautiful. I have the W-71 cabin here from aitm, did you scratch it too? Michael
  16. Thanks all for looking in. Sergey, yes the engine will be put in. It will be the engine of the K-123. It's not important for me if this is correct or not. And maybe it will be a truck, maybe anything else. On Monday my stepmother died and there's not much time for modelling. I cut out the hole for the air cleaner and did some correction on the cabin with stripes of Polystyrene. Greetings, Michael
  17. Try czechtruckmodel.com, many photo-etched Parts.
  18. Steve, you're right, i already have the '57 Chevy Convertible here. On this kit, the dashboard and the windshield frame was my first working with BMF. Thanks, Michael
  19. Hi All, i start my first workbench report here, a 55 Kenworth Bullnose from Illini Replica. Hope you'll like it. First, we need a Kenworth K-123 from Round 2. And the Conversion Kit from Bob. The result shall looking like this. I stripped of the chrome from unnecessary plated engine parts. I will not boring you with pictures of a few engine parts. I take the resin cab and playing around to get a feeling for this beautiful peace. First, thrill out all holes for support pieces as door handles, mirrors and so on. Then i put japanese miyuki perls in the holes and use little pieces of silver wire for the handles. At the moment only for test purposes. They will be implemented after painting job. Today i cut off the grille and replace it with 1mm stripes of Polystyrene and a mesh from czechtruckmodel. This will be a long build, it's my first full conversion resin kit and i must learn many things. Thanks for looking in. Michael
