Well we have thought about a lot of these cars mentioned but problems are as follows Anything for a Resin only kit just does not sell we have decals like this now that frankly are DEAD we have several that we have not sold one copy of so at this time anything that is a Resin only item will be done only is its an item Rick or myself wants for our own collection. Sportsman Cars from the 70s ?? Do you mean cars from the NHRA modified production classes the King Kong you mention did run that class however we can't pay the 25k the guy wanted for the rights. The Ronnie Sox family said do it for free but do it RIGHT Chocolate Myers said the same thing about his dads cars 95% of the people we contact are thrilled someone remembered them and most would like a model of there car and a couple sets of decals which keeps us real busy by itself. The term sportsman was used a lot in the late 60s and 70s do you have any pics that is the best way to tell us what you want... Larry Kopp drove a lot but and we would like to do some but can't get any contact info for him or his family. The Website is going to have a rebuild we just are not sure how to do it we have over a 150 decals now Drag, Nascar, Short Track, Open Wheel, Light Trucks, Dioramas, Custom Lace, Thrill Show Cars, by June 2012 we may be double that number we may need to hire someone to do the website so its more user friendly. If you have any cars you want to see us do send pics we will get back to you. we already are we were lucky enough to get to examine the shots from the 3 new molds from R/M a few weeks before the hobby show and we are working on stuff for all three infact we already have the first sheet done and available for the Olds in fact we have sold quite a few already and more coming in both drag and Nascar and perhaps a short track car as well.

We are also thinking of adding a page for all drag cars using anyone's decals we have not done this because we were worried that people will think we are making the decals for the car or we are are claiming other peoples decals as our own what do you think should we or not, we just like models that's why we wanted to do it.. Those are the only two Pics I have found of the car and I looked for a while I got a lot of info on the car from Larry Davis the author of "Super Stock" Drag Racing The Family Sedan about the car. For those interested those decals will be added to our website later this week. I wish you would have used our decals to build the car I would like to have used it on the website when its done. We have several other 62 Impala decals on the site now. Your build is going to be great the Paint and BMF work look fantastic so far.

Hi Nick how are you doing. If I remember right the "Gate Job was a 65 wasn't it. How about this say the "Harry Canary" 64 Comet with say Dyno Don and say Tom Masano Motors Comet with Ronnie Sox?

We are wondering what people would think of say a single decal sheet that would do 2 1964 Comet Super Stock cars say perhaps a Dyno Don car and a Sox and Martin car both on the same sheet that would sell for 12.99.

An ink jet printer can print a decal but they print using a very thin layer of ink almost a tint and can not print white if you want to put the decal on say a white car it will tranfere colors OK but on a red or blue car it will not do very well you can try to put on 2-3 layers of decal but its still not going to transfer color as well. Plus the decal will only be as good as the master art it was printed from. We have 1 decal for a 62 Ford, and have not thought of doing any others because the resin items just don't sell. I will be doing an update to our site within the next few days listing some new stuff but no 62 Fords are coming out..

I just published a update on our Decals By Lucas Web Site. We added some new Decals and we now carry a limited supply of Johan Items we will be selling kits and parts through our site these items are in high demand and short supply our first list of items is small but we have decided we will only list items we have in stock this is in keeping with our goal of shipping with in 48 hours of receipt of any order when the items are gone we will remove the listing. We will not take back orders on any product, if we can't ship it withing 48 hours it is not on the list this counts for all of our decals as well. We will be getting more items and as we see what sells we will know what direction to go with future orders and inventory levels. I wanted to let everyone know we have some new decals over at Decals By Lucas I am doing some work on the site so it does not have all the bells and whistles you are used to but all the products are there and you can order from the site. This is a very trying time in my life a very a nasty nasty Divorce. I started Decals by Lucas for two reasons.One was to try a little extra money for my hobby and for my family and for the modelers so they could build some different drag cars.Well thanks to my almost x wife has ran off with the money some of you sent me and no record of what you ordered.I was kicked out of our home but I am trying to get back in it Dec 14 when we go back to court. I have a apartment now but can't do the decals the correct way.I do have my printers here so she could not destroy them. If any one did not get there decals please let me know! Now please don't pull my leg because this is costing me. I will be reopening Decals by Lucas Jan 1st.That is if people are still interested in buying my decals and can trust me.Please help me see this Dream of Decals by Lucas for The great modeling people.I will be back in full swing.
