Hi this is a fantastic build I am pretty sure you are using my decals on this I also have the Scotto & Blivens 65 Corvette. Oh I am the owner of SMP Decals. This will be Fantastic if true but, Is this news positive or just speculation from someone, if it is true I have 2 mint bodies I have bought since the announcement of the convert more than 80 bucks worth of bodies if it comes out I will buy 3-4 more I really like this car but I hate Convertibles. I would really like to see the 65 GTO 2DR HT that was done in 65 as a promo only.....I would be in for 6-8 of those.....

That looks absolutely Great Mark. I did Artwork for these decals about 5 years ago and I have been thinking about making it available again but I think if I do I will add the tlight housing bulge and the headlight masking tape decals as well. Maybe deck lid emblem and a couple of dash decals as well.. Ummmm I wonder if it would sell?

I just bought an Alps printer and will be doing a bunch of decals I will look at this one it actually is one I was looking at that I may also want to do for myself... I will be adding about 25 over the next month...

So do you guys think there would be much interest in a decal sheet for this car?

Hello everyone I have followed this string and choosen not to add to it but I did want to let everyone here know I am no longer involved in anyway with Rick Lucas or Decals By Lucas. I was not an owner in the business I am the one that did almost all of the art work for the decals I still own my art work and the permission from the various people was given to me and I gave it to Rick. Rick Lucas was my friend for 25 years and I am very sad at losing my friendship with him. He has had some very difficult times this past 2 years and my wish is he will somehow get through them and return to the person he once was. I have had nothing to do with him since July 1st I am posting this because I still get emails from people that want product or money from Rick I do not know his current status or location nor the business status. The info we recieved from a nephew of Mr Oldfields when we did the decals for the "Iron ButterFly" is it had a Tan interior. I might add he was very very helpful getting us info on his uncles "Good Guys" Dart as well and some contact info for several other cars we have done he is a great person and like Models as well.. According to the info I got from the Petty's the art was Dark Blue that is how I did the art for the decal..

Rodger did you get the decals from us Decals By Lucas? I have never seen the engine shots before and did not know about the stars I will add the stars for the engine to the sheet I also notice the small white strips on the back of the valve cover I will also look at someway to do that contact me I will make sure you get the stars at least for the valve covers.

We will have the decals for this car and others done very soon here is the list we are going to do I was going to size these from the AMT kit but I have decided to wait until I get a kit of the correct car hopefully I can get a preproduction sample. Hi I'm Bruce Sadewater I am part of Decals By Lucas we recently added decals for Stock Cars to our line up, well to make a long story short "We Messed Up" on some of them somehow the sizing was not right both at the rendering side and with the printers perimeters that we had them use. So we made and Sold some decals that are not correct. This is mine and Ricks worst nightmare we sold "BAD" product, that is one thing we never wanted to do. We have the problems corrected and the decals are being printed we should by weeks end be ready to ship corrected replacement decals, we will be contacting everyone that bought through the website also a few bought using money orders we have those address our main problem is the people from several ebay sales and from two shows one model show in Wheaton Illinois and one in Crystal Lake Illinois we know most of these people and will be in contact but several we don't know. If you want contact us and give us your address and the decals you bought as well as when and where you bought them that will save us the contact process. We are sorry this happened I will not offer excuses we should have been more careful and triple checked our work and the work of others but we did not so it's on us.
