  1. Hello all and thanks for the welcome !!! Tom especially, nice to meet someone in my area for a change !!! I would love to attend a meeting of the club at some point but will never enter a show !! My builds are intermediate, and far from show stoppers as I have seen over the last two years. The models I build are by other forums considered 'boring' as they are daily drivers, but they are the ones I love. I never could understand why the model car companies spend god knows how much on Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds and the like, seems there are two to three releases of them each year. At least where the Mustang was concerned it never sold in the volume for Ford that the Taurus, Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car did. So why won't a kit company take that in to account, and give us one decent Grand Marquis model or of the Lincoln Town Car ?? One can only wish. But will likely never ever happen. Anyway, will look for you on here and hopefully stay in touch !!!
  2. All red and no two tone or vinyl top. keep it real and aggressive !!! The New Yorker had vinyl tops but very rare if at all on the 66 300.
  3. Modelhaus is finished for good next May, both are retiring. You can still order things now, but delivery is running about 20-24 weeks, and they shut the website down temporarily because of demand. It will be up again but not probably until end of May or early June, so they can catch up
  4. Beautiful build. You captured the car perfectly. Probably one of the best looking cutlass models of history
  5. Wow great build and gorgeous model. Looks very real, so toss me the keys !!!
  6. Beautiful model and great detailing as well, especially the grille and lights. Bravo !!
  7. Glad to be a member here, and have been building cars for about 45 years off and on, more off than on. I am mostly interested in factory stock, particularly the big Fords of the late 60's, 70's and the early 80's. Love the larger Mercury's of the same years, and of course the Lincolns. Anything Thunderbird, Torino/Gran Torino or LTD, LTD Crown Victoria or Country Squire and likewise in the Mercury line is me. Have zero interest in Mustangs, Camaros or Firebirds, they are overdone and nothing exciting. Pickups or Suv's do nothing for me either. Just happen to have an affinity for larger cars, and love the older Chrysler line, as well Love the big Chryslers and the Imperials as well. In the GM line, the only cars that do it for me are Oldsmobile. Wish there were more Oldsmobile kits available, but sadly there are not. And Plymouth has some great models as well. Just none of the late 60's 70's Fury or Gran Fury. Loving sharing ideas and tips, my skill level is intermediate. Most recent builds were the Starsky Hutch Gran Torino, now a daily driver Gran Torino in blue like my moms was !! Complete with whitewalls and luxury Wheel covers. Want to do another, but this time a Brougham with the vinyl roof and opera windows so popular on the Gran Torino Brougham. And am completing the Moebius 65 Satellite in Ruby red, like my dads was back in 65. Not a bad kit at all, other than poor fitting windshield, smaller than the opening, and horrific exterior decals. Poor adhesion and disintegrate after clear coating. Ended up hand painting emblems etc. Such is life !!!
