It's a photo etch inner screen support with black Tamiya flexible grille screen over top.
-
They should be in the "Under Glass" section.
-
This is one of the Revell snap kits done before the glue kit came out. Powerslide decals and Tamiya brilliant blue, no clear... the car was a complete wrap.
-
Got a request to show this build... not sure if I ever posted this here or not. Mike’s Decals resin body and some custom made decals from Clay Kemp. Paint is Aztek neon green and yellow. This has 2K clear over it as well.
-
Only small stuff inside. I clear outside.
-
Spot Model sells a PE sheet with different ones on there.
-
The hood pins are Crazy Modeler and Chevy engine orange is more red than orange. I saw this car at RCR a few years back and the chassis is definitely red orange.
-
Good eyes! I didn't like the first exhaust I did and replaced it with aluminum tube. This was my favorite car when I was kid and was always scared to try it. The build has a few issues, but it looks nice on my shelf!
-
It’s a decal. I fit the 89 Monte Carlo decal from the Powerslide sheet to the Lumina body.
-
Finally finished this thing! Paint is Tamiya neon orange and white, Powerslide decals, and 2 part clear from Gravity. My good friend Clay Kemp helped with the Ultra Slim Fast decals so I could do the late season car, after Darrell returned from his broken leg. I also lowered the stance for a more aggressive look.

The chassis is Chevy engine orange... I lowered it by cutting off the axle stubs and just direct gluing the wheels where I wanted.
-
They are out of an older kit with the chrome wheels. I hand painted the centers gloss black and left the chrome outer ring exposed.
-
Michael Keaton’s 1989 Batmobile. This is a Bandai 1/32nd scale kit. I used Honda nighthawk black pearl with Tamiya dull coat. The real car was layered with several different colors to get the look Tim Burton was looking for on screen. There was a bluish hue to the paint.
-
This kit did not have an engine.

I built this about six years ago for a good friend as he has the real deal. This is built out of the box with Tamiya paint and two part clear.
-
You are right! I had his and Smoke’s titles reversed.
-
This started out as an AMT Chevy Impala. I modded the nose and quarter windows to turn it into the Dodge Charger. The finish is Tamiya mica blue followed by clear blue to give it a candy effect, then 2 part clear. Decals are from Powerslide.
-
This was done using a resin body... well before Revell announced the new kits. I used a Profinish chassis and modified it to fit. The paint is semi gloss black with Powerslide decals.
-
I built this using the second test shot I got from Revell. The first became the box art for Chase Elliott’s Napa car. The finish is Tamiya light metallic blue and white. Decals are also from Powerslide. I added the speedway package to the body with some post race wear.

They were done with a silver Sharpie.

The new Revell C7R kit with SMS decals and trans kit. I also added additional under hood details and wiring.

I did this about a year ago. I spent a lot of time updating the body from 1990 to 94. I also added the wheel marks on the door based on some reference shots of the car.
