Thanks Jeff I appreciate it. I just thought of that idea this morning. I have to add a crossmember to the rear of the frame to attach the Hitch.

Did some more work early this morning on the Acar Dump Truck. I painted the headlights, engine fan, radiator stroud. Painted and added the hood hinges. Then I decided to make a Pintle Hitch out of the front dump bed mudflap and the taillights. The Pintle hook is from the AMT Logging trailer.

Nice update Scott at least you got a little bench time this week that helps. Looks good. I’m going to try to get you a pic of that old 1969 Brockway 360 Dump Truck I drove back in 1992. I guess I need to buy a Resin cab like it and build it one day. If you need any spare parts for that Acar suspension let me know I have a lot of Acar parts still.

Very nice build I like the color scheme it’s and a great tribute. I’m sorry for your loss I was fortunate enough like Steve to ride with my dad when I was very young and as I got older he taught me how to drive a truck. I can just imagine the emptiness you feel.

Fun how you guys over the pond has different name for the same thing here. I’ve never heard them call that Steve you learn something every day thanks. I’ve heard of Tippers because of the little Matchbox dump trucks.

Had a little bench time tonight. I hand painted the side boards, repainted by hand the Tanks and steps, Air cleaner and the Luberfiner. Maybe I’ll get more done tomorrow night.

It’s ok Steve I understand what you’re saying. I hope you can get your to know your shop soon I’m sure that’s frustrating for you. I’m hoping for some updates soon on this not much to go then it’s done.

Jeff that’s because it’s so dusty I was kinda ashamed of posting this dusty thing but now since think it looks natural I may just leave it. I’m glad you’re so intrigued with this truck makes me feel my efforts on this build is pay off.

Steve this is called center point steering where the front wheel is centered with the rear duals. I’m sorry but “no front brakes” has nothing to do with the positioning of the wheel or the Hub Oiler. The theory behind this to make the handling and steering better on curves and high crowned roads. I’ve drove several trucks and my Autocar I had with no front brakes and they were not Center point steering. This was a special order from the factory. Looks good and I like all the extra effort you give these 1/32 models.

Yes I had to double check my pics and I did put it on there 😂 your starting to show your age my friend don’t feel bad I do this at least twice a day. You have so many great builds I was disappointed when I seen you haven’t been working on “Caboverdose” Hope to have this done soon not much left.

Brian thanks for dropping by. I’m sure this beast rode like that 1969 Brockway 360 dump truck I drove back when I was 25 years old hauling Asphalt and Rock. It had air assist steering no air seat and no AC and a hood you could land a small plane on 😂 but I really liked that truck.
