It matters because it is theft of another persons work. Just because said item is not currently available does not give a thief the right to copy it and sell it as his own. Every kit that is stolen from the Modelhaus makes the Modelhaus (which is for sale) less attractive to a prospective buyer. Why would anyone step up and buy the Modelhaus if its items have been pirated? Every pirated kit you guys purchase is a personal slap in the face to Don Holthaus or whomever is being ripped off. I spoke with Don the other day and he certainly is not happy about it. What can he do? Nothing but rely on his customer base and friends he has made over the years to back him up and not support the thieves out there.

still not sure what a MY kit is. btw the caps that come in the 66 AMT kit were optional across the board from 66 to 68.

Thanks for your kind words everyone. I will try and answer a few of the questions. Yes they will have plated parts, a 66 Merc kit wont work because it doesn't have the correct hood or front bumper. I will be offering a 66 Merc Colony Park trans kit in the future. What are the Galaxie wheel covers for the 66 MY?

The lower ridge does need a little clean up, like I said this is not quite done yet.. Funny I did not notice the taillight is a little too big until I saw the photos. Thank you all for your enthusiasm! Had no idea the 66 would hold this kind of interest. Look for 65 through 68 Fords and 65 66 Mercs to be built from this platform. Would like to be able to sell these soon, but with the resin thieves, the Squire must be done as well as a few other years or sure enough I'll get ripped off.

Getting close. Need to finish the rear bumper, do a Hubcap, final clean up on body, add scripts and badges. Note the correct grill. Will give birth to a Country Squire as well as a full line of 65 - 68 Ford and Merc wagons. No price point yet.

The 64 Colony Park will be first. As you can see, it's not quite finished but getting close. Requires an AMT 64 Marauder to finish. Will have correct wood decals. No price point set yet. The rear bumper does fit flush, it's slightly askew in the photos here.

I also have a LeBaron 4 dr. ht. done as well. Wasn't going to bring it up till later. If there is interest, I will have that one molded up.

Thanks, it's nice to know there is some interest. Will go ahead with the project. They should be available mid- summer sometime. I'm new to this site and haven't learned the photo uploading process yet but will try to post some of the master along with other new kit masters in the near future.

Have one mastered up for a customer and wondering if there would be enough interest to have a run made up. Consists of a 4 door sedan body with correct standard trunk trim, interior tub and rear window. Would use the newer issue 59 Imperial for all other parts. thanks.

Yeah it's too bad he steals other peoples work. I would like to buy some of his other kits but not now, no way.

Ebay did not think John the rip off artist description text on the El Camino was at all amusing.. I'm not sure what the punishment will be but let's all hope he gets the boot. Jeff, you need to contact ebay at 866 540 3229. Tell them about your experience and forward all emails from the thief.

And btw Jeff, I have built both your Malibu and El Camino and they are nice kits... I am currently on hold with ebay , going to see if I can get this illiterate punk kicked off.

Here's the latest drivel from the a** hole that ripped your master off. This is a remastered model .you get a corrected body hood bumpers white resin taillights grill I am going to add pics that show how badly the car was I bought off ebay,the frame is badly made in rear crooked way crooked and badly crafted after I remaster it it will be for sale the dash and seat as well they are solid resin also need remastered ,as for the body I corrected all for wheel wells each one was a different size ,and of center drivers side rear was 1/8 of an inch smaller than the rest that's a lot and very noticeable I corrected that hood did not fit right side to side gaps ,I corrected it ,a, pillars very thick I corrected that ,and the car was so thick it could knock out a small child ,tail gate thicker on driver side, corrected,I would say some one made the frame crooked to compensate for the rest ,body is corrected and frame and interior coming soon,I have been accused of stealing this car well my receipt shows I bought it.so you guys keep gossiping on your little chat room,and thanks for the free advertisement ,the kit I bought off ebay was a paper weight and if this person actually made the kit I bought ,you should be ashamed of yourself ,as for patents and license,copyrights you have none the only thing that would cover is a logo or a new design and even then you have to submit those ideas for license before a license is issued I have several license for my other two business ,been through that process .as for mister 64ss350,you've never bought any of my kits and 350didn't come out till 67 as the l48option camaro ,get your name right,one more thing I'm not going to fade away live with it ,me personally think these people need to move out of there mommy's basement.as for my customers Thank you for an amazing 6months glad you like the kits rest ashore there correct I also have an offer for my customers ,buy 3or more of my kits at buy it now you will receive this one free.Now like Martin Lawrence said run tell dat,will upload more pics of all corrections here shortly,thanks for looking ,john ,,,,,,also I added the moldings ,and almost forgot look for a coupe ,wagon,and pro street version,outlaw hood is done but not yet in production all coming soon .Also I do have over 70 actually it will be 73 after I master 3more versions of a 73 malibu and every singal one will go in to production ,might take a year but it's going to happen. the Vero program is good to know about. Want to start selling my 63 Squire kits but have been afraid of thieves.

The two big negatives for me are the exposed glue surfaces and the edge of the glass is visible. I couldn't care less about being able to assemble a model as you would a real car.

Did a couple of the Revell 83 Oldsmobiles and all the glass glues in from the outside. The glass surround moldings are molded to the body, not the glass so all glue surfaces are visible. I tried future floor wax without success then water based canopy glue. It did get the job done but still did not look right. Lately it seems some of the model companies are trying to reinvent the wheel. What are your thoughts?

You guys could be right on the 1/10th scale and wood. Been a long time since we discussed it. I'll ask him about it next time we talk and let you know.
