66 Country Squire
Paul Hettick replied to Paul Hettick's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
That would be an awesome subject. I have heard of someone else mastering a 68- 72 Vista Cruiser but no progress report in a long time. Out of respect to the creator of that kit, I won't do one unless I hear the project has been dropped. And thanks for your appreciation of the Squire. -
66 Country Squire
Paul Hettick replied to Paul Hettick's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Yes, the Country Squires and possibly Country Sedans were available with bucket seats and a console from 1963 to at least through 1970. The last year for buckets in a big Ford was 1971. Have not found any reference if it made it to the wagons that year. I have found Full size Mercury wagons with buckets and a console for 1963 and 64. Not sure about after that, but will research it more as my next Merc wagon will be a 66 Colony Park. The Bucket seats and console will go right into the interior tub of the Squire as the seats are cast seperatly. I have some preliminary castings I will post pictures of shortly. The decals are being created. The 59 Nomad is currently in the mold making process. Will post photos soon. -
What do you drive?
Paul Hettick replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks!, yeah the Impala has original paint, but it is heavily laquer checked. no plans for a repaint i like it the way it is. Heres my 57 Belvedere and 59 Buick. The Belvedere is pretty much unrestored. the Buick has been a long ongoing restoration project. -
Wow Bob are you sure that's not a new Tamiya Corvair Rampside? Amazing work.

Dwayne this is beautiful. The proportioning is spot on to my eye. Please tell us you will have this cast up. There are several reputable resin casters that would be happy to do the mold making for you.- 115 replies

'59 Nomad master completed pics
Paul Hettick replied to Paul Hettick's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thank you very much. I hope to have the business set up early summer so I can start selling kits. Will keep posting new masters as they are completed and give a heads up when they become available for sale. -
Here's some pics of the completed 59 Nomad. Not pictured are the rear window buck, front fender ornaments and steering wheel. This will build off the AMT El Camino. No release date as of yet.

Revell 76 Gran Torino Model Kit Review
Paul Hettick replied to hpiguy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Anyone have an explanation on the box art? The worse I've seen in years. It's like Revell doesn't want to sell many. -

What would YOU like to see as a model
Paul Hettick replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Another vote for the '77- '79 T Birds. Three years, Replica stock, Nascar, Lowrider, demo derby ect ect. Had a '79 as a daily driver about 9- 10 years ago and never had to put a dime in it. Have started to master a resin kit using the main body from a JoHan 72 torino and lots of cutting and pasting but it is still miles away from completion. Would be an awesome styrene kit. -
66 Country Squire

Thanks for the input. Yes Gary, it was strange Chevrolet did not offer a 3 seat wagon in their top line series as Ford and Plymouth did, I suspect they lost some sales because of that. I'm doing the kit so the third seat can be removed and a flat floor panel can be swapped in place if desired. Sorry I can't give a price point out but they will be priced to compete with other quality resin kits. -

Thanks! Yes the 59 Nomad will be cast up as well. It builds off the AMT 59 El Camino. It uses the El Camino's opening tailgate and has a rear facing third seat. Detailed photos will be posted once the master is completed. The 59 Buick is a Promolite resin kit I'm building. -
Here's a few pics of the completed Squire body to be used with the existing Country Sedan parts. I redid the taillights. they were too boxy looking. Still need to have the decals done. No production release date as of yet. Note the 59 Nomad hiding in the back round.

Anyone know if wal mart stocks these? Would like to build a granada gold with a black vinyl top.

Thanks for your comments. Pretty happy with the kit. the interior tub fits right up inside the body flush with the window openings with no sanding/ filing/grinding. The only trimming to be done is on the chassis, the upper rear wheelhouses need removal and a quick trim on the topside of the fuel tank for the dual facing rear seat floor to clear. Everything else falls right into place. I didn't have to mess with the stance/ wheelbase at all. The taillights came out a little blocky, I need to taper the top and bottom to be more accurate before production. Look for a Squire as well. Next up: 68 Squire, 66 Colony Park, 57 Windsor 2 dr. ht. 57 New Yorker wagon. The Chryslers will build off the AMT 57 300 and have opening hoods.
