  1. Thanks for the nice words! A Sox n Martin version would be great ??
  2. Thanks Jim ?
  3. Thank you sir! ?
  4. Thanks guys. Andy…those wheels came in the kit. One of the bright spots of this kit, along with an accurate body. They are the infamous “recall” wheels that were breaking on the real cars at the time.
  5. Thank you!
  6. Thanks a lot guys! Yep just a bit of work makes the engine bay much better. Those decals are going to be replaced because it’s bugging me lol. But im happy with it overall ?
  7. Thanks! I agree, these were good looking cars imo

  11. Thanks guys! I couldn’t choose a color, glad I picked this. ?
  12. Hi all…I’ve had this infamous MPC kit in my stash since the early 90’s. Decided to dig it out. We all know about this kit and its lousy chassis and inner wheel wells etc. I’ve got an AMT Duster and a Revell 69 Dart, but they’re both still unopened and I didn’t want to raid them for chassis and other things. So, I looked at this kit and decided that the thing that bugged me most was the inner fender wells under the hood. I decided I could live with the chassis, if I could get it to look a little better under the hood. Then I remembered that I had a Revell dart body in my spare parts box that I had picked up at a meet for a couple bucks, figuring that it would be worth it to have in case of emergency should I ever get around to the Dart lol. So I cut out the wheel wells from it and then those huge crappy blobs in the barracuda and fiddled until they fit just right. Didn’t take much. Paint is Tamiya Titanium Gold. The black stripes were crinkled on the sheet so I used the white. I should’ve gotten aftermarket replacements because these are a disappointment, but for now it’s what it is, and at least I won’t feel sorry for the kit anymore everytime I gaze at my stash of unbuilt stuff lol. Thanks for looking! ?
  13. Very nice! It’s held up well over the years!
  14. Thanks so much guys! ?
  15. Thanks guys, these kits are fun for sure. I also have the California Charger in my stash along with Don Garlits rear engine and Don Prudomme Wynn’s Winder. It was tough to pick one to open lol. Check out the finished car in the under glass section! ??
  16. Thanks! Appreciate it ??

  20. Thank you! ??

  22. Thank you Pappy ??
  23. Super cool! Great idea. Looks good!!
  24. Thanks so much Safire! You did great with the colors. I straightened the frame with boiling water. Try the gorilla tape, you’ll like how easy it is, but you’ll have to brush a little Tamiya flat black on it to knock down the gloss a bit. I had no problems with the panels under the headers, my big problem was the cowl on top in front of the engine. Had to cut the edge back a bit. The upper snd lower nose panels were very tough to install around those radius rods. Once again, thanks for the inspiration with your beautiful build ??
  25. Thank you guys! Much appreciated ?
