Beautiful Torino! I’d say it turned out great! Is it my imagination, or is there a lot of warpage and damage in kits lately? Weird. Good job tho!!?

Hi all…I’m not very knowledgeable about NASCAR, but i thought I’d throw this on here for the fun of it. This kit was brought to me by a friend who got it recently from a friend of his. The car was built, and the body and interior were painted somewhat decently, but the chassis was left bare plastic and the motor was put together fully and then sprayed red….fan, belts, valve covers, everything lol. So I carefully took the body, frame, interior, glass and engine out. He told me not to repaint the body, but to clean everything up as much as possible. I polished the glass, painted the frame semi gloss black with a few details. Then I scrubbed the motor with soap and began hand painting everything on it. Didn’t want to destroy it all….everything was stuck together really good ?. Washed and touched up the interior, waxed the body with Mother’s cleaner wax, and assembled it back together. Doesn’t look too darn bad!!! In fact I like it and he’s going to be happy with it. Thanks for looking!

Thanks! They look good when done, with a little extra work

Very nice! I recently finished mine and yeah it’s not a great kit and the decals were disappointing. Your decals look great compared to mine ?
-
Thanks! Get yourself some replacement decals, don’t rely on these originals lol.

I needed a quick and fun build after two bigger projects were completed. These trikes are perfect for that. This is the milk trike, however I went with the pop machine scheme, and used Testors Lime ice and Testors Inca Gold on the seat and engine. It reminds me of Mountain Dew, my fav soda before I quit drinking soda lol. I can’t recommend Revell Spray Chrome enough. It’s a bit expensive but boy is it good. Even better than spraying Molotow thru airbrush and seems a tad more durable and dries quicker. So this is 4 of the 6 finished…2 more to go at some point. What’d ya think Shoopdog?? ?? Thanks for looking ?
