  1. Here is the explanation in case the pics sequence is not clear enough. I'm building the Revell C6-R racing Corvette. However, the kit represents the car as it was unveiled back in 2005. I want to replicate the car as I saw it racing in Atlanta back in October 2006. Some body mods are needed. First, the cooling ducts are part of the bodywork, but the kit has them separate. So I cut and blended them in place. Then the spoiler support is different as well as its location. That was also changed. Some more minor bodywork is needed before having it ready for color... Thanks,
  2. A Revell C6-R Corvette story without any written text
  3. Hello again: OK: This is the only thing I'll add to it  plus I'll check the parts bin for wheels and tires. "I am NOT buying wheels for it", "I am NOT buying wheels for it", "I am NOT buying wheels for it" And this is something I'm "removing" from it: This is very Very VERY thin and delicate so I have to be very Very VERY careful with the Dremel from the back.
  4. Thanks Len. I had a lot of fun writing that. Actually I think it was Einstein that said "Quick model car building is relative" A quick build for me is anything less than 6 months  Russ: I've seen pics of yours and it looks great!! Thanks,
  5. What to do with a $7 20-parts snap kit? You build it! I got this kit for $7. It has about 20 parts. 30 if you count the wheels, tires and axles. But don't let it fool you. It has potential. Let's see if I can make a quick build out of this....
  6. Cool. It has that 90's look
  7. Nice color. It goes well with that car.
  8. I'm not into hot rods but this is VERY NICELY DONE. It definitely stands apart from the crowd. The steel surfaces are very convincing. Thanks,
  9. Cool Jeff! It turned out great!

  12. Hello, YAWN!!!! Yes, another boring factory stock modern sports car.... Fujimi kit. Box stock build with added seatbelts, exhaust heat insulation, oil filter decal, wheel valve stems, cargo net, local license plate and emissions inspection sticker. As a personal touch I added a magazine and a book inside. Cobra Colors Giallo Midas paint (The closest I had to Porsche Speed yellow), custom mix light cocoa (chocolate brown) interior. The underside was painted to simulate having some of the covers off. As a personal touch I added a Road and Track magazine under the cargo net and a book on top of it. More details here: http://www.puertoriconet.com/images/cayman/ Thanks for looking and as always your comments are welcome....

  16. Thanks Bob! I thought so. Your Miura is beautiful. You won't believe me, but I actually thought of that color scheme for mine  Now I need to come up with a different one  Thanks,
  17. Hello, I have a Hasegawa Miura SV I would like to work on. It seems the engine is not visible at all once finished. Is it possible to build it without the engine? Maybe build the engine out in a stand or something... From the instructions it seems the engine is used to support suspension components. I need to take a closer look at it but thought of asking just in case anyone has gone thru this before.... Thanks
  18. Hello, I need a PE script that would suggest a performance modified or enhanced vehicle, but the model will be a curbside. I need something like "turbo" or "supercharged" or "mega" or "special" you get the idea. I think I saw a PE set with some of those. I only need one. Any ideas? Thanks,
