1969 Plymouth GTX pro touring/drift car? (Engine mockup)
426 pack replied to 426 pack's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Update the engine is a 572 HEMI with a parts box intake. I will try to build some turbos soon let me know what you think. Do you guys think I should cut the fenders or leave them? Any suggestions would be great as I am on the fence with the fenders comments welcome -

That car is awsome and I have already thought about using that car for inspiration. -
This will be a pro touring/drift car on a old Richard Petty nascar frame and it will have a modern HEMI with twin turbos and I am thinking of making it 4 wheel drive. let me know what you think so far. coments welcome

Thanks for all the help. I found this at a collectible store one day and picked it up for $20.00 it is a lot like the fujimi kit and it comes with the garage, tools and figures.

Very nice Do you have any engine or frame pics?
-
Wow it is very cool and crazy and I like it. It is very imbearising when you learn that a 9 year old can paint better than I can. I cant wait to see what she comes up with next.

The turbos are made from the parts tree that every model comes with and heated up with a lighter around a screwdriver that is the same size as the the inner part of the turbo. The inner part of the turbo can be made from a chunk of evergreen or plastruct plastic.

Thanks for the help everyone.

thanks guys I will try some of the Tamiya tape.

I have only ever used the green painters tape and I always have problems with paint going under the tape and making a mess of everything. So I am wondering is there any masking tape or something that works better for painting models?? Any help or suggestions would be great.

new resin from oldr-n-drt an holy grail resin

Excrewchief what you said said it best and it makes the most sense. I think you ment to say D or and W not A or and W. -
Thanks Sound like you have some cool project. I think a Paxton supercharger would look Awsome on a slant six (leaning tower of power). What kits come with slant sixes I have wanted one but don't know where to get one??
-
Here is my creation after going through the parts box still needs to be wired up and definitely is not as good as yours farmboy. I only have one problem I wasn't paying attention when building and forgot to check the fitment in the car that I wanted motor to go in and now I can't get it to fit. I think a separate 6 cylinder form would be great. Jeff do you have any pics of the slant 12 if so I would love to see it?

Old-n-dirty the race car haulers you are talking about are all 2 wheel drive D sire so the cabs you are casting and the frame you are recommending would makes me think you should change your post to D sires not W truck and the smooth side bed you are talking about is called a sweptline bed. I hope I don't sound rude or like I am arguing and if so I am extremely sorry as I am just trying to lend a hand. I hope this helps. -
