  1. Put on a few coats of clear to seal the decals, now time for cut and polish. Then I can try to finish this
  2. This is coming together nicely! Very cool kit. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Bruce’s one in person and your doing a great job on this.
  3. Yeah it was a good time, need to get together more often when we can. no I could not, it’s still at Marks, next visit I’ll get it. It should be a cool build.
  4. Well it’s been a minute since my last update, I have managed to put the wheels and tires on, got the body panels painted and cleared. Now a little decal session. I have been pre occupied with other projects, hopefully I can stay on this till it’s completion ? probably not ….
  5. So now that the lotus is finished and I am back to the Ferrari! I managed to get the gearbox attached some support bracing and a bunch of little detail parts on. The side oil coolers also installed. Now onto the body panels ?
  6. Hey guy, I want to thank you for the thread you did on Brit Modeler.. I followed and copied some of your techniques to bring this large kit to life. You did an awesome job on this!! thanks again Chris
  7. It took 5 weeks to complete this! Probably the quickest build and largest build I have ever done. I did enjoy adding a few extra details and some weathering to bring it to life.
  8. Thank you! I am with you on the wheels, they are growing on me…. As far as the spinners, from my understanding yes.
  9. I have been working on this for the past 5 weeks. For those who know about these large kits, it’s mostly screw and glue. I have added some additional touches wile building this. I have a few little things left on this before I get back onto the Ferrari. lots of pictures ? so sit back and I hopefully you’ll like what I have done so far
  10. Thanks guy! I appreciate the compliment and that you keep checking in on the progress…
  11. It’s been a wile since my last update. I hade to wait a couple weeks for a set of replacement decals, I re did the front, after looking at a couple other people’s build’s. I decided to add carbon decals to the bottom plate. As you can see the front suspension is installed and attached the engine to the tub. Then came all the little fiddley bits that add to the realism of the car. Next on the menu is to install the gearbox and start on the body panels. Till next time ?
  12. Nope, I wasn’t happy with how my front nose plate came out. I’m waiting on replacement decals. All this rain we have been getting in California is slowing down paint progress. So yeah it’s my strategy ?
  13. I’m so glad I talked to you about it , I’m sure we will figure it out. Thanks for the heads up about the rear
  14. Seems like I have been a busy guy, some more parts painted, decaled and cleared. I’m focusing on the front of the car. I should have a couple updates very soon, they may seem to come fast. Please enjoy as I am enjoying building this!
  15. I personally like the shiny look of the carbon ? so I use a gloss coat of clear
