  1. Hey guys does anyone know a good source for a 1ton resin dump bed? our club is having a dump truck project and I thought I would do a smaller landscaping truck. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
  2. Hi all, finished up the interior, tried to have lots of paper and junk around. Made a quick clip board with delivery paper work! Also cut the Gage's off the weld tanks and made some caps. Still need to put some slots in the caps! Comments welcome!
  3. Nice! I really like the color Combo looks awesome!
  4. Made up a rack to hold the tanks, needs some more work! I'm debating if I should cut the Gage's off the tanks, I don't think they would be on for transport but then I'll have to make up some caps for the tanks, I could put the Gage's in the seat in a box!!
  5. I'll check out some pictures, they do look a little heavy handed on the weathering! Maybe I'll tone them down a notch or two!
  6. I'm going To give that a try with the dullcoat, it looks really good! Thanks for the tip!
  7. Good tips! I have been testing some stuff to dull down the chrome, I think I will experiment with the dull coat. I agree on the roof I will sand thru for a better look, I didn't like the roof, I thought it looked to "brushed". I'm going to build a rack for the welding tanks and I also agree with scratching up the bed and tailgate more. I have a lot more work to do, thanks for the tips and comments!
  8. Hi guys, I've been trying some weathering on the Mobieus 69 pickup. I've only weathered 2 models and they were ok. I'm not finished with this yet. Give me some opionons, ideas and some constructive criticism! I think I'm a bit heavy handed with the weathering, I'm not going for rust out just more grungy and worn out. I'm using paint and pastel chalk. Let me know what you think!
  9. I really like that school bus! Did you narrow the whole body length wise or just taper the front in? Seeing what you did with it opens up a lot of front ends that could go on it! Awesome idea!
  10. Looks awesome! What color are you going with?
  11. Awesome ! Love the dual tail lights!
  12. Thank for the comments ! The tires are the kit tires and the mags are from a Johan Eldorado kit.
  13. Hi everyone, here is an AMT 1962 Thunderbird that I finished recently. I was going for a mid 60's street custom look, lowered with custom paint, interior and wheels. This is a pretty nice kit overall with good detail and it builds fairly easy with some minor fit issues. Paint is a silver base with a magenta nail polish fade and some orange nail polish fade! Comments welcome!! Thanks for looking!
  14. Good looking model, I like the unique color choice!
  15. Thanks for the comments! The magnet idea is great! I was going to try and make a "clip" of some sort to hols onto the fender but I like the magnet idea way better!!! Thanks!
  16. Hi all, I finished another build that was on the bench fora long time! A 1948 Chevy coupe that is a replica-ish car that my dad had when he and my mom first got married in 1952! The Galaxy limited kit is really nice and went together well, had do some tweaking here and there but overall a great kit! My dads car had red skirts on it, I have them painted and ready to go on but I was trying to figure out a way to make them removable without ruining the paint. Any ideas would be a great help! Comments always welcome! Thanks for looking!
  17. Beautiful build of a beautiful car!
  18. Thank you everyone for the nice comments!I really enjoy looking at all the fantastic work the people on this forum do, it kinda motivates me to get more building done!
  19. Hi everyone, I just finished this up they other day. I built this as a replica for a friend of mine, it was a car he owned in the 60's. The paint is dark blue metallic with a blue interior. His car did not have wire wheels but the steel wheels with hubcaps. The tires are AMT white walls with the rims and hubcaps from the parts box so they are close to what he had on his car.
  20. The show and contest were a few weeks ago but I finally have the time to post some pictures from the show. The show went really well with a good crowd through all day, we had about 198 models in the contest and almost 300 people through the doors! Here are some pics of the vendors and contest tables. I am going to send the photos of the individual models into the magazines then I may post some more here!
  21. I had not checked this post for awhile, thanks for posting the pictures of your drawings and the concept drawings! I really like the 66/67 Nova conversion, I think that could be done in model form using a Flintstone sedan delivery maybe?
  22. I fanally got some paint on this! The interior is just about finished. I need to get some clear on it and polishing to get the shine up! What do you guys think of the color combo? I wanted something that looked like it was done in the late 60's. Does anyone know of a source for outside door handles without buying another kit? If all else fails I guess I could try and cast some up.
  23. Sounds good, stick around and do some shopping!!! If anyone attends the show stop by my tables, I will be set up next to the photo table!! Phil
  24. The deadline for entering the contest is 12:00. The announcing should start around 2:00 or 2:30 and the show is over at 3:00! The tables are almost sold out so we should have lots of stuff to look at and buy!! I will be posting some photos after the show also. Hope to see you there! Phil
  25. I will try and find out tonight and post when the entry deadline is and when judging starts. Looking forward to seeing you there! Phil
