The Charleston was first released in 1980, their latest kit of the 2CV is the Sauss-Ente, a 1987 special edition for the German and Swiss market, and has the cylinder heads modified so it could run on unleaded petrol which at the time was being introduced across Europe

It's not, it's a 1970 2CV6, first time the single spoke steering wheel had been fitted to the 2CV

First off, no, there not all the same mold, I've built the Tamiya version, although it's a nice kit to put together, there are a few parts fit problems, the bonnet really doesn't fit well at all, and from memory, the driveshafts didn't line up that well, but apart from that, it's still a nice kit. From my recent experience with the later Revell kits, I've so far built both of their Trabant and VW Beetle kits, all of them went together without fault, I've got both Revell 2cv kits to build, and can't wait to build them. I haven't had any experience of the Heller version but looking atthe instructions, they look a little simplified. Hope this helps ...

Can anyone let me know what the engine is in this kit, and what colours things should be, I've had a look online, and the colours don't match the call outs in the instructions.

i think Ebbro is going to make a few quid out of me when, I mean if, the DS Safari/Break comes to the market, the BBC never found anything better to use as a camera car,for the horse racing apart from the later CX, that is

I know, it was only wishful thinking, I'll have a few days to myself, to relax and do a little retail therapy, I went to the Tamiya store in Tokyo last year, sadly I was in a rush and didn't buy any models from there, not that there was anything I wanted, picked up some masking tape and a couple of pin badges, this year I'm going to make time, so I'm not in a rush, although when I've finished one job, I've got a 3 hour flight to get to my next job.

I'm hoping these will be released by August, if they are, I can pick a few up while I'm working over there, I'll be loaded down with all my photographic gear, so this time if I buy anything, I'll post them back home.

I can't see Heller bringing anything new to the board for a while, after they declared bankruptcy last year, they've already cancelled a few projects they announced at last year's German Toy fair, both versions of the Renault Estafette have now been cancelled, as to Ebbro, who knows .....

Your correct, don't forget the parrot !

The next one might be the Safari (Break) version, but you didn't hear that from me .....

yes, that would be Masato Kiya, a great guy, hopefully I can visit them when I'm in Japan later this year,

Another one added to the stash, got the one molded in white, as it will be as a Belvedere and not Christine, also bought another "Used" Amt 57 Chrysler 300 for spares, as I really needed to replace the missing parts in the one I'm building, plus I'm having trouble chroming the front bumper, even though the rear one went ok, I might even use the air filters from the 300C on the Belvedere

That's some skill you have there, brilliant build, one of my friends mom had a Dauphine when i was growing up in Spain, always did like them, although you did have a feeling it was going to fall off the road when it got up to speed ... -
Welcome aboard Graham .....

I still have a few posts from when I got back into modelling back in 1978, a few drops of thinners, and there as good as new
