i did see them i think it was in the Dunkirk NY store. i though about getting one for a coworker since he has the full size.

is that a 4cyl? i understand a lot of you old school guys don't like the newer NON V8 stuff but, you have to respect it. These guys are running 1/2 or 3/4 the number or cylinders and still getting close or beating a lot of times that a V8 can put down.

Funny story for you guys. When heard Ollie's got the Chase Elliott NASCAR kits was like alright i have to get there now. That was 9-15-18. I went to my local Ollie's and they had nothing of that. But i did get 5 Duster race cars. I was going on vacation to Toronto the next week so started calling all the stores from Ohio, NW PA, and NY looking for the Chase Elliott kits. All of them had nothing. After my vacation (9-22-18) I hit all the Ollie's anyway. Niagara, Buffalo, Hamburg, Dunkirk, and Erie PA. By the time we made it to Ohio the stores are closed. It was a long ride home but i got a lot. More dusters, few ambulance vans, couple 72 challenges, danica kit, couple 71 t-bird's, and i did find 2 Elliott kits buried. The next day i called around to some stores and found six an hour away. I drove there and got them that night along with a couple Mod Rods.

Since i have discovered tamiya paint i try not to use anything else. what is it about their products that make them superior?. i have done paint jobs without clearing them that have more shine on them that than another brand with clear. It blows me away.

yea they have had some clearance paints. hemi orange, go mango, Chrysler yellow, dark yellow, purple, gts pearl blue, royal blue, to name a few.

I too have spent 10+ years working in retail. It sucks. As much of my time was as a manager i had every other weekend off but the weekends i worked i would work friday noon to 10pm, saturday 10am-10pm, sunday 7:30am-8:00pm. Keep in mind the later time is when the store closes so usually we would be out about 30 minutes later. Once in a great while a truck would show up just before closing and we would have to unload it and get it out on the floor for stocking. So that would be an hour or longer. Luckily, I'm out now. I probably took a little loss in annual income but its worth it.

I just picked one up online last week for $15. It was still sealed. I know the Baja Bronco has gone up a lot too. My local HL still has those on the shelf.

I'm wanting use either the large tires and wheels from the Deserter or 84 GMC pickup kit or the newer Jeep with the green box art. When i was a kid, my sister dated this guy who gave me a bunch of model kits. Among them was a original issue Scout SSII what was very nicely painted orange with black door openings. For the life of me i cannot figure out what happen to that. all i had was the body. not frame, axles motor. Wish i had it now.

I was at my closest HL on Saturday. They had 1 scout, the 65 el camino, 40 Ford, 55 Cameo, Pink Charger, and they still have a couple baja bronco kits. I though about getting them but it would have been full retail cause i'd be getting a kit myself. Not sure if anyone would want to pay full retail and shipping cost for it.

Correct me if im wrong but didnt the original have a hard plastic type tire?

To be honest, its a very simple kit. Only 53 pieces. Even though its simple I'm sure some of the higher skilled modelers will do amazing things with this kit.

Just wanted to let you know i found 2 at hobby lobby last weekend. I bought them both. Might fine them out and about. I thought it was a September release.

I was on a bit of a road trip and stop at a HL. I found the baja bronco which has skyrocket in price and 2 of these Scouts. Model car round up dont have these Scout for release until September. Bought them both.

I just got this. Pretty rare original issue. Its open sealed bags. Complete.

I've heard Tamiya TS-11 (Maroon) is spot on for it. Thats what i plan on doing.

I've been buying from him for awhile now. I had one issue and he cleared that up right way. I bought a Nascar Bill Elliott #9 Dodge from him. Once i got my package i opened it and it was a #9 Bill Elliott Coors Ford. I emailed him and let him know with pictures of ordered paperwork and what was received. He sent out the correct car to me in an order i just placed. I asked about sending the mistaken car back to him. He told me not to worry about it. Thought that was cool. I'm sure if it was a more valuable car that would be different i understand the logic behind that.

This is my entertainment center. It's a 55 Buick Century front clip. I bought it from a salvage yard for $500. I measured and taped off the area i wanted to cut it at. Its about 24 inches behind the headlight. I used a sawall to cut it across. I had to cut some from the inside behing the grille. I have a shelf behind the grille bar so i can have two devices on the shelf and two below (remotes still function). The headlights are speakers for my surround sound. The hood can be removed to "repair" and devices or issues that may come up. This MF'r is heavy. There is feet i made from black iron pipe that it sits on but the front bumper makes it fall on its front. I have to have anchored to the wall for support.
