  1. Many Thanks guys. I really do appreciate the kind comments makes it all more worth the while. Thanks Again!
  2. Well the Old Pete is finished at last. What an enjoyable truck to build. Tried to get some decent photo's outside today but the wind is blowing a gale. So I had to keep waiting for the sun to come out and dodge the snow showers. Still they don't look to bad. Hope you enjoy them. Next project a trailer for the Pete and then I think a Kenworth Alaskan hauler with a Big Cummins KTA. Many Thanks for Looking. http://public.fotki.com/oldalbion/1964-peterbilt-351/ Best Wishes
  3. Craig, This looks good! Keep us posted with progress. Best Wishes
  4. Ray, Sorry I cant help you! But the project sounds great. I like the idea of building a scale replica of a real truck to show people how things were. Great Idea!! Good luck!
  5. Matt, Check the web sites below they may be able to help you?? http://www.stsmodeltrucks.com/ http://www.aitruckmodels.com/ Best Wishes
  6. Anthony, Another great build. The truck looks right, good colour scheme, well balanced. Best Wishes
  7. Jeremy, Very Impressive. The blue colour is great.
  8. Great work Craig. Like the paint finish it looks good in metallic.
  9. Jim, This die cast looks really good. Great idea for a load. I,ve been thinking about building an earth grader for a load on a lowboy trailer. But the amount of work is considerable and things like wheels I don,t know if they are available. Maybe a die cast is an possible alternative?
  10. What a great looking truck, yes the colour scheme does grab your attention. I like it!
  11. Tim, What great trucks, never come accross a glider kit before??? The 378 looks great with a bit of dirt on it. Good to see some trucks working for their living. Superb!
  12. This little Revell kit seems very popular. I bought one myself recently. It was so cheap compared to other models. With the aftermarket parts available the options for this build are numerous. Great little kit. Have fun!
  13. Johnny, This is a great looking truck, superb!
  14. Dave, This is Very Good!! Like the use of the spoked wheels and the wide steer tyres. Makes it look like a heavy hauler. Weathering looks convincing and as Tim says the rust on the exhaust pipes is great. Nice work. Best Wishes
  15. This truck is coming along great. Like the exhausts and breathers the chrome looks well with the paint work. Keep up the good work!
  16. Kurt, Very impressive, like the pusher axle and other little details, those drive axle tyres are great, wish I had some. Great work have fun with the project.
  17. Guys, Make sure you are sitting down!! Just look at the price of this!!!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/International-Paystar-...1QQcmdZViewItem
  18. Jeremy, Great progress so far! I liked the shade of blue for the body work. Having read the above comments on the truck I bought one a couple of days ago, hasn't arrived yet though. Keep us posted with progress and any problems you encounter. Have fun building it! Best Wishes.
  19. Latest progress on the old Pete! The hood is complete the original resin hood was too thick (About 3/32") so I decided to make my own using some thin sheet brass. As you can see in the photo's the hood opens. The piano hinges (These are brilliant)are from Model Car Garage. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed with this truck so far. Its starting to look like a Pete. Hope you enjoy the photo's! http://public.fotki.com/oldalbion/1964-pet...-351/page3.html Thanks for looking.
  20. The weathering is superb!! Great Build
  21. Johnny, The paint colour and finish are superb!! I'm very impressed, wish I could paint half as good as that. Great work!
  22. Zeb, It should be straight! (Just checked in a Revell Peterbilt 359 kit to see what condition it is in. Yes its straight) Not sure on the best way to straighten it. Good Luck with the build!
  23. Johnny, Check this out! http://cgi.ebay.com/Italeri-American-48-ft...1QQcmdZViewItem
