Dennis, looking good. I had to do the same with my GTO wagon. Slightly different lines from the GTO body to the Chevelle wagon body. Had to do a lot more for my 70-72 Buick wagon. Tim -

I received this email for the Ohio State Patrol: Mr. Hunter We at the Ohio State Patrol are tired of all the scoff laws that are associated with the so called race you are directing. The Ohio State Patrol intends on building a vehicle to combat the law breakers who are intent on exceeding the speed limit laws set forth in the great state of Ohio. Enclosed please find our entry. A 1969 Plymouth GTX. Sincerely, Buford T Justice, Jr. Commander Ohio State Patrol This came to me as a surprise, Being they are showing the unbuilt kit, I am accepting there entry. So we have to be careful especially in Ohio. Tim -

Welcome back previous racers and Welcome to the new racers. Riley sorry about the spelling, I wrote it down correct but typed it wrong me and my fat fingers. Please remember that to officially enter you must post up a picture of the kit, rebuilder etc. Which I will do as soon as I decided what I will be converting to a wagon. I have 2 Pontiac's, a Plymouth or a Dodge to chose from. Tim -

As of now we have 15 entries. looking good. I still have to figure out my build. I have ideas but nothing finalized. Good luck to all. As Jantrix said. This is about sleepers. you can build anything you like. as long as it is a sleeper. and a sleeper is a deceptively fast car. Tim -

Rob, It has to be a 77 model year, It has a CB radideo. LOL. All the ideas are sounding sweet. 5 days until the official start. and counting. Tim -
Well folks, it's that time of year again. The 2014 CBP has just wrapped up and we had a record number of racers at the finish line this year. We had 35 entrants and 5(?) finished entries. This year after deliberating with our previous hosts, we came up with the decision to do a Themed build this year. The Theme this year is "Sleepers " No, this won't be our last, and it wasn't Brock Yates last, it was the last Sea to Shining Sea memorial cup dash, basically meaning a cross country point A to B type race. After that the race was the "Cannonball One Lap of America" race in which the race became more of a Rally. So, this year all entries must be a sleeper. 1. Take a car that is not normally considered fast. Make it fast without altering its appearance that might let on that it's fast. 2. If the car IS normally thought of as fast, it should be in such poor condition/appearance, that no one would give it a second glance. There is no limit on, year/make or model, as long as it meets the above criteria. The subject must appear to NOT be capable of running such a race. Sky is the limit on imagination. HOWEVER this time we won't be limited the parts used on the racer to this year, so feel free to use those modern drivetrains and rolling stock. As with every year, Official start date will be January 1st 2015, and the end date will be December 1st 2015. "I'd like to welcome you all to an event that's sometimes been called the Automotive counterpart to the Bay of Pigs." "You are certainly the most distinguished group of highway scofflaws and degenerates ever gathered together in one place" "Of course you know certain skeptics note that perhaps 10,000 of the nation's most elite highway patrolmen are out there waiting for us after we start, but let's stay positively: Think of the fact that there's not one state in the 50 that has the death penalty for speeding... although I'm not so sure about Ohio." Now before we get going we need to remember that your vehicle will have to follow a few guidelines. Remember we are racing on City, County, and State Roads and Streets, so we need to be "Street Legal" Now the Rules Rules: 1.) First rule, as per Rob (Jantrix), this is all about having fun. 2.) You must show a picture of the kit, collection of parts, or re-builder that you are starting with. If it is possible try to post at least 1 update per month even if it just says "I haven't finished any work, but I'm still here..." 3.) On December 1, 2015 I will start a new thread in the "Under Glass" section for everyone to post their finished entry's, you must post their to be included in the voting. 4.) Multiple entries are allowed. So guys and gals, Have Fun and we'll see you in Redondo Beach! wagonmaster replied to wagonmaster's topic in Community Builds
Rob, That is one reason I have volunteered is so I "will" be active. I have neglected my model projects too long. Tim -
While there is a discusion on what the theme will be, I believe it is the general consensious that it will be Sleepers. But who is going to be roped and hogtied in to running the 2015 edition. unless anyone has an objection, I will vounteer to take the reins and run with it for 2015. Maybe it will get me off my dead posterior and build something. Tim

Your welcome, Fred. I have always loved sleepers. I am planning on a 1:1 scale one know, my 84 Lincoln Towncar. So is an official announcement coming soon, gentlemen prepare to start your builds. Tim
