  2. Great picts. I attended the Oct show last year. it was a great show too. Hope to attend this year. Tim
  3. It depends on what I am building. For a factory muscle or a certian car I will research the hell out of it. using everything from the net to magizines, for a couple projects I have contacted the actual owner and asked questions. But for a custom or street machine I will do some minimal research, engine color, firing order etc. Tim
  4. IIRC, it went to the block next to the dist. I don't remember having to take it off when I changed intakes on my std 400 in my 70 GTO. Didn't have to yank my dist either. But may very from one model/year to the next. I have asked pontiac questions on the performance years forums and they have been very helpful. Tim
  5. I agree with Scalefishes. plus you only have to buy one 2 oz bottle instead of 2 one oz bottles. To me the guy from modelcar world seemed like a jerk. I emailed him about a certien color, I got a real rude answer back. Tim
  6. I build what strikes my fancy at the time. It maybe a CBP one time next it maybe a stock muscle car, or a restomod. or a semi truck. I jump around all the time. Tim
  7. yes, SHerwood green is a 1970 Buick Color, my 70 Buick GS Stage 1 was origionaly Sherwood green, someone repainted it white. I am actually making a model of it as it came off the showroom floor. It is also known as chevy forest green. I got my paint from scalefinishes it sprays great. Tim
  8. Those Dodge cabbed Flextrack-Nodwell are cool. I can see a hot rodded one with a blown big block. Kinda like the farmer IIRC Rupert Hogg in the CARtoons who have hot rodded farm equipment. Tim
  9. I am needing a open cloth sunroof for a project I am working on. I have seen a write up on doing it some where but can't remember where. It used masking tape or something like that. Thanks Tim
  10. Pro-modeler 69 Daytona Charger. ( with the 66 GTX Hemi in it) Tim
  11. If it catches my eye I'll build it. from a 30's street rod to a 2010 muscle car. but I mostly do cars from the muscle car era. Tim
  12. Yeah, box stock is just that what came in the box, or on the direction sheets. IE. If it mentions about filling seams etc. it is legal. check the GSL rules. Tim
  13. I could never get the enamal to work for me when attaching photo etch. What paint should I use just testor clear or????? I am not a fan of using floor wax on anything but floors. When I was in the service, guys in my flight use Futura on their boots for a shine. It wound up cracking and looking like ka-ka. Tim
  14. I just wish I could get very pine again it was a great paint stripper, Walmart carried it. Pine sol is another good stripper but have to watch it or it amy slightly affect the plastic. I stripped auto paint with it. Tim
  15. I have used Dupli color paints for 20 years. there primer is all I use as it doesn't attack plastic like others do. Gotta have the clear coat too. Tim
  16. For plug wires I have used wraping wire from radio shack. Not sure if they sell it anymore the roll I have was gotten about 20 years ago. yeah it does last a long time. Tim
  17. When is the 2012 Detroit NNL? I may have to go visit relitives and attend. Tim
  18. How about a RWD anything nascrap period. What ever happened to the 500 car production to make it legal. Looks like too many whiners. Nascar dies in the 70s let's leave it dead.
