from what i can tell the main differenced between the 70 and 71 is the grille and leading edge of the hood tail light pnel and both bumpers but the rest of the body and interior is the same i figured i would used a amt 69 galaxie hood and grille and rework it and same with the back tail light panel i want to make burt reynolds characters car from the movie white lightning i know thee were inconsistancies with the car in the film like at times is was a custom 500 and at points it was a ltd and then some interior shots were filmed in a 71 mustang mainly when he was shown shifting to another gear same with the underhood shots of the engine was a mustang due to the shock towers

i used a revell fast and furious 71 gtx kit and a harts parts resin hood i cut the gtx lettering off the grille and sanded off the gtx letters off the body i used a cb radio transmitter and antenna as well as a shifter and rims and tires and 318 engine from my parts boxes the side and roof stripe is from a mpc 74 road runner decal sheet i made the hood stripes with black sharpie i painted the body rust-oleum 2x gloss marigold i painted the interior and chassis rust-oleum 2x flat black primer the audio in the video is from the season 2 episode the runaway the episode where bo and look destroy daisy's 71 satellite sending over kissing cliff and she gets her cj-7 jeep named dixie at the end of the same episode as a bridesmaid gift Daisy duke's 71 plymouth.mp4

this is cooter's tow truck in season 1 they added the hazzard county garage signs to the doors after they moved production to california and created his garage on the hazzard square set i used a amt 72 chevy pick up rebuilder and a 3d resin printed 69 chevy c10 grille from iceman collection a tow boom from a amt 34 ford pick up kit i used legos to make the flasher light arch behind the cab and used a couple more lego pieces for the base of the tow boom legs the rims and cb antenna and flasher lights and wood plank front bumper and cb radio transmitter all came from my parts boxes i posed my 3d resin printed and brush painted cooter figure next to it i used twisty tie wire for the tow hook line i painted the cab/hood/bed /tow boom and arch rust-oleum 2x flat red primer i painted the interior pan rust oleum 2x flat black primer i brush painted the wood plank front bumper apple barrel matte chestnut i brush painted the rims apple barrel matte elephant grey i painted the grille back bumper and hook rust-oleum bright coat aluminum i have the chase music used in season 1 of dukes of hazzard playing in the background of the video another trivia tidbit the chase music was created and played by waylon jennings and the waylors and they stopped using the chase music after season 1 Cooter's 69 Chevy c10 tow truck.mp4

the current country charger does not have a front metal axel but plastic pegs that go through the wheel backs and get glued into the holes that the original front metal axel goes though

i have always liked the split grille the 71 torinos have and was wondering if there was any aftermarket resin versions or if the vintage amt 71 torinos had that grille i would love to mod a revell 70 torino into a 71

it is the same chassis they used on their 68-74 charger kits and still used on the current mpc country charger
