  8. there are three of the craftsman series cars that have the hoods molded in like a promo body the 64 mercury comet caliente the 70 buick wildcat and the 64 galaxie so even though the chassis have the seperate engine plates the only way to put a engine in them is to carefully cut out the hood and then find all the underhood details like a firewall and radiator battery mast cylinder and power booster and washer fluid container that will fit since those 3 do not have any of that due to the promo bodies
  9. the mpc and older amt glue kit does not have the correct engine for the series car which was a 440 magnum the main hero cars had the kits have a 426 no series car had a hemi only the 2005 movie did the glue kit has a crappy ill fitting full roll cage none of the hero cars had that they had a roll bar the glue kits back bumper does not line up and fit have to replace with a revell 68-70 charger one to get a better fit now the mpc snap kit general lee is very good except for the vectors which are shallow almost flush with the out rim but it has a cb radio and antenna and correct roll bar both kits have a very undersized super thin easy to brake ram bar which does not match either version used in the show or the movies

  12. the aussie e49 charger hemi six pack engines and transmissions were designed for racing at bathust endurance race to compete with the falcon gt and monaro gts and torana The 265 cu in (4.3 L) was introduced in 1971 in the VH. It used a new cylinder block with a bigger bore diameter of 3.91 in (99 mm)—the same as many of the Chrysler small-block V8s—and a new cylinder head, having slightly more hemispherical shaped combustion chambers with larger valves. The standard version of the 265 produced 203 hp (151 kW) at 4600 rpm and 262 lb⋅ft (355 N⋅m) of torque at 2800 rpm. The top-of-the-line performance engine in the E49 Chargers produced 302 hp (225 kW) at 5600 rpm and 320 lb⋅ft (434 N⋅m) of torque at 4400 rpm. The increased power is due mainly to a more aggressive camshaft, high-load valve springs, triple 45 mm (1.8 in) DCOE sidedraught Weber carburetors, tuned-length exhaust headers and a higher compression ratio of 10.0:1. 1971 CHRYSLER VALIANT CHARGER R/T E49 Number produced 149 Engine 4340cc 6cyl, OHV, 12v, triple Weber carburettors Power 225kW @ 5600rpm Torque 441Nm @ 4100rpm Weight 1365kg Gearbox 4-speed manual Wheels 14 x 7.0-inch Tyres ER70H14 Brakes discs (f), drums (r) 0-100km/h 6.1sec 0-400m 14.4sec Top Speed 211km/h Price when new $4300 1971 PLYMOUTH HEMI 'CUDA Number produced 783 Engine 5563cc V8, OHV, 16v, triple two-barrel carburettors Power 216kW @ 5000rpm Torque 468Nm @ 3200rpm Weight 1594kg Gearbox 4-speed manual Wheels 15 x 7.0-inch Tyres E60-15 (f), G60-15 (r) Brakes discs (f), drums (r) 0-97km/h 5.8sec 0-400m 14.4sec Top Speed 220km/h Price when new US$4340
