  1. Many thanks Jaffa! Brings back fond memories. Had a lot of fun with that little car...mine was white w/red interior. Wonder if I could modify a 53 Ford... Oh, here's my Maverick
  2. Maybe this will help...
  3. This is an oooold WIP of mine. Some of you may remember when pink became the new thing. Well, this was then. Question is: what kit is this based on? I'm just wondering who will be first with the answer. Oh, and I am working on it again, so it IS from the workbench.
  4. I remember watching these cars run when I was a kid. This one is my favorite of your builds. I'm kinda partial to the sedans. Looks really good, and the diorama should be great.
  5. Yah ricky...I'm working on a couple of new ones, plus I've still got a few old WIPs haunting me LOL.
  6. I've been away from active building for a few years. Thought I would post some old models for your examination. The Model A is Monogram, built straight out of the box. The sedan is Monogram's '39 Chevy SD with a Deuce grill and shell added. Also using interior components and suspension from Monogram Corvette America. The Prostreet is Monograms Prostock built from an article in a model magazine. Thanks for looking... Steve
  7. awesome bike...very cool...
  8. Thanks, Tim for presenting justification for model boats. They were big in the 60's or so. I remember some articles in the mags back then, including model boats with electric motors running in troughs of water, drag-style. Kinda went along with the slot-cars at the time. Lots of hotrod boats out there!
  9. Not a really bad looking model of the Consul, Jaffa. Only thing is, it seems to be 1/43 scale. Wow, would really love to find something 1/25-1/24. If you find any more pics of yours, I'd really be interested in seeing them. Thanks...
  10. Thanks for all the help guys. Unfortunately, the business we were tending to didn't allow me any time to see Petersens or the hobby shops. Maybe another trip someday.
  11. My main ride is '07 Charger. Also have an '01 Intrepid. Project car is '73 Maverick that my first wife bought new. 250 inline six, auto, p/s. Jaffa, I had a '59 Consul way back in high school! Fun little car. Could we see more pics? Do you know if anyone has made a model of this car? Would really like to have one.
  12. I'm here in LA for a couple of days. Can anyone point me to a good hobby shop that I can visit while I'm here? Thanks for any help.
  13. I say model, but an excellent one...
  14. Love that Buick, Ed. Very clean build, very classy look. I owned '63 and '65 Lesabres, and always enjoyed them. Very good job on this build...
  15. choparoonie! you really lowered the lid on this one...looks just great!
