  1. That's a really nice lookin' little car, Bob. The carb intakes and the wheels/tires really give it a different look from the original kit. Very well done.
  2. Very cool! Kinda looks like a slammed road grader LOL. Looks great. Good job. Like the front end especially.
  3. As Art said, the buildability of the kits was a very important advantage for AMT in the 60's. Revell had great detail (sometimes maybe TOO much) but were hard to build. Examples are 57 Chevy and Orange Crate. For us younger types, AMT was easier, and you still ended up with a good looking car. Today, I think both companies are making some really good models for us. Not perfect maybe, but very good buildable kits that look great when done. And for those of us who yearn for some of the old tools from MPC and Monogram as well as Revell and AMT, they are out there in the form of re-issues. Just gotta remember that they are old design, and worn. Buyer beware on the older stuff.
  4. Wow...what a great place to spend an afternoon...
  5. Great story, classy looking car, great design idea with the girl, the car and the dogs! A lot of motion to this mini-dio! And cleverly done too! Thanks for showing us...
  6. Bernard, I also have the Alfa Romeo. These two kits were issued a few years ago by SMER, I think a Czech company. Here's a couple more shots of the Talbot. Hope to do the Alfa soon.
  7. Aww, Dave...you know you wanna build it. Such a beautiful car, and one that so many of us will never see in person. You can make it something special.
  8. NIce old kits aren't they? Thanks for the kind words. Bernard, the Talbot here is made by a company in eastern Europe or Russia or somewhere like that. Can't remember the name. It does have the motor, and the wire wheels are clear, raised spokes on a clear styrene disc.
  9. Dave, I'm a wagon fan from waaaay back, and this one is super! Love the look! A beast in sheep's clothing for sure. Wheels and pipes look great on this one.
  10. That's one HOT lookin' little Willys! Nice build. I like it...
  11. These are some builds from my recent re-entry into the hobby. Started off with simple, somewhat crude subjects. But they do make nice shelf models.
  12. Very cool and menacing. Kinda like Christine's big brother...
  13. Thanks for the nice words guys. I'm glad you like it.
  14. Thanks Bernard...I like it too...
  15. Woooowwwwwwww... Always wanted one. Never ever even saw one on a store shelf, and I've been around longer than this kit has. This is the one that a guy named Yonts used as the basis for some killer dragsters back in the sixties. I have the Bantam body, 3 rear wheels and slicks, the block/heads/blower, and even the blower belt. LOL You did a great job on yours. Nice builds of a great old kit! Steve
  16. Just a decent little shoebox, almost stock, but a hardtop now.
  17. I'm 57 next week. Been building since mid-1950s. I've built cars, planes, boats, trains, motorcycles, armor, dragons, and figures at some time or another, but mostly cars now. Always had the support of my family members. It's good... Steve
  18. LUKE 57...I can't seem to think of anything you might have left out in your disclaimer...good job...cool box art...
  19. I think thats's Bob in his old fire-suit at Pomona...
  20. Aaaaahhh Harry...so, you're the walrus...
  21. Nice little roadster, Robert. Has that minimalist look a classic rod should have. I like it.
  22. Well, the whole truck looks great. What else can be said?
  23. Well, she did real good. The car looks great, especially considering it's her first model. And it's always a good thing when your friends understand your model hobby.
  24. Very stylish use of old parts (Ala Kart) and new items (the larger wheels). Very innovative design. Screams late 50's early 60's. Well done Raul.
