I would be 100% for curbside kits. My builds get done, then sit on the shelf. Recently did three funny cars, did them as curbsiders, prefer them looking like they're ready to stage. OTOH, i do have some 1/16 Revell funny cars in the stash that i might do more on... Don

I don't obsess over interior to the need of a crash test dummy to ensure fit, honestly i go by the Mk.1 eyeball to get the look to my satisfaction. Don

That's a fantastic build What a great looking car. Have to say, i know it's a race car, but i would really like to see one without the decals, clean, sleek and gorgeous. Don

I would build it. Never will be a collector/flipper/speculator. Always been a builder. I built this decades ago when it was the Mickey Thompson pinto, would still build it again. Would be a happy builder if i could find the Johan Rambunctious Challenger and the two Mickey Thompson kits. Would happily build and display them!! IIRC these were some of the first funny car models where the chassis actually resembled the real car, not the onesizefitsall MPC offerings. Monogram Snake and Mongoose were accurate as well. Don

I got boxes from work, lots of boxes for car parts. Have also cut down bigger boxes and made them work. Don

No allowance, no pay for house chores. Christmas/birthday money or money earned outside of the home. Teen years money earned from helping my dads sidework. Money spent on kits, paint, car mags....typical stuff. Don

A terrible kit, but you did a fine build with it!! I did buy the kit when getting back into cars, what a disappointment!!! Scrapped the kit used the decals on a Moebius Nova Gasser kit as a whatif. Expensive decal sheet... Don

Curbside. Have built 3 funnycars since starting up with cars again. Spent very little time on the chassis and engines, engines had enough done to support the blower and headers. After finishing the builds, they'll go on the shelf, never to be touched again . I build them as if they're ready to stage, ready to race, in their natural enviroment. Don

Fender assembly from a shorter wheelbase kit? Looking at the instructions and that build you can see the fenders are too far forward. Garage sale kit?... anything's possible. Have to say, looking around Google, it looks like a kit i would really like to build Don

Tell you what, if the fender piece isn't glued down, install it into body, no glue, then drop this onto frame. Think it will all look ok after you do that. Don

I used Mr. Color Leveling Thinner to thin Tamiya Acrylics. I was finding the gloss colors took a while to harden using X-20A thinner, Mr. Color cut that time. Don

Looks like the fenders are too far forward. Looks like the stub of the rear axle in the second pic isn't centered in the fender opening... Don
