  1. Snake and Mongoose combo pack by Revell/Mongram???
  2. You are correct!!! I just started building 43rd. I am currently in the finishing stages of a Renaissance Dauer 962 "Fat Turbo" Express. I just purchased a Tameo Ferrari 412T2, and a Lotus 99T.
  3. Don't really post too many completed projects. I was pretty pleased with this one so, I thought I would share. This is my first 43rd scale build. I might have to build more of these.
  4. Time to update this My Daily Driver: My weekend driver: it was in the May issue of Popular Hot Rodding.
  5. Smooth as glass transaction with Adam Risley., Kits arrived simultaneously, how often does that happen???
  6. This was, and has been my "model" for the last 7 months. At least I got 1 of my builds in a magazine... http://www.popularhotrodding.com/features/1405_1969_pontiac_gto_back_on_top/
  7. This is my 69' GTO which I have owned for 11 years. I just finished the second upgrade.
  8. 11 pieces is what it took to build the throttle linkage assembly. I swear I must have lost, and recovered each of those 11 pieces at least 3 times each, because of them popping out of my locking tweezers. I still need to add about 8 PE bolt heads to the intake/Throttle body base.
  9. Throttle body/Intake parts, and pieces. I will have these installed this evening.
  10. The scale on this one is 1/20th I live 2hrs from the Austin track.
  11. Started this, this week. I have a goal of getting this one done by the end of April. This is the Tamiya McLaren MP 4/4. I will be adding details to it with the Top Studio "Super Detail Kit".
  12. I just completed an outstanding trade with Paul Cadwell (2Whl) The kits he sent were as described, and packed well. Perfect timing on the shipping, as his kits from me arrived at his door today as well.
  13. Thanks for the Mike's decals suggestion guys!!!! I just picked up his last sheet of the DuPont liveried 1995 Chevrolet truck. I would have preferred the BUD livery, or the Goodwrench livery but they were sold out.
  14. Hey guys: I picked this up yesterday at a contest. This is not a subject that I would have even considered building. After unsealing it and taking a look at it, it is not a bad kit. It actually has some potential. I normally build F1, Le Mans, and ALMS subjects. The decals in this kit are toast, and it is not a scheme that I would have picked to do anyway. Is anyone making any aftermarket decals for these things? Thanks in advance for the replies.
  15. It was a decal. I used Walthers "Solvaset", it worked great.
  16. Hey guys: Here are a few progression pictures. The kit went together very well. I have heard of some that are warped, but mine was in perfect condition. The hardest part was masking for paint. I shot white on the areas that were to receive the main decals. See below:
  17. I have had this in my in progress pile for over a year. I finally finished it this weekend. Enjoy.
  18. I am kind of surprised that this thing did not get more comments. It was definitely one of my better paint jobs. Usually I wait a week before I start polishing. My dehydrator was the life saver here. I could have never finished this thing in 5 days had it not been for that.
  19. I tried the CF decal route, but I could not get it to my liking. The sail panels are shot with Tamiya TS-14 Gloss Black. I then mixed TS-14 gloss black, with TS-21 Gold and I shot it through a mesh to get the CF look. If I take a picture with a Macro lens, you would see the effect.
  20. I finished this one in a record 5 days...(That's fast for me). It is the Revell kit, and in all honesty, I was impressed with how well it went together. The floor was a little warped, but it was nothing that a little patients, and CA could not fix. Enjoy:
  21. I used to own one of these, as a matter of fact, the second picture posted by Bluesman Mark is mine. Anyway, I have waited too long for a kit of this car to trash this attempt.
