Model Car Display for Show NOT Diarama
Ralphie replied to Ralphie's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I was thinking of displays that are home made for shows. -
I'll have to try that. Besides my Nikon I have a A520.

Can I see some ideas on a displays for a Model Show. Something with maybe has mirror, light or lights, glitter floor bottom, etc . I know a lot of shows don't allow these but I like seeing them and want to do a couple. Not talking about diaramas. Just to show off the car, paint, and maybe undercarriage. Thanks!

Wide Body Tires and wheels ??
Ralphie replied to Ralphie's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
This is the first wide body I have ever done. I can fit a 28-29mm dia tire. But I have not glued the flares on so I can still adjust some tht is why I am looking for tires first. Don't want the wheels that stick out past the tire, not my style. -

Am attempting to add fender flares (wide body) to a sports car. No idea what tire and wheel sizes to use. I'm ok with 3d or resin sets. Anybody can help ? Thanks

Pre-Paint check for Imperfections
Ralphie replied to Ralphie's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
All great tips ! Thanks. Yes I find priming, sanding , inspecting with magnification, filling and keep repeating seems the way to go. I find my hardest part is on curved surfaces. -
Pre-Paint check for Imperfections
Ralphie replied to Ralphie's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yes, but I still seem to miss them. Curved or joined parts are the worst. -
After or during priming and getting ready to paint what is the best was to cehck for imperfection . They are always amplified when the finish or clear coat is on. This is especially when you are doing some body work with putty. Any thing you guys do?
