  1. got a bunch of these to paint up. they have 2 different styles of can in the box here is one of them
  2. exactly! you think they would want to show their product in the best possible way? same with whoever builds some of the box art models a box stock model built to a high standard doesn’t take that long to do, especially if it’s your job there’s really no excuse
  3. I own one and there’s no comparison, it does work fine i’ll be doing a review after a year or so of constant use.
  4. I like the creos mr.hobby ps290 and it’s pretty cheap and works with iwata spare parts if you’re in no rush to buy something and save up your money i’d recommend the Colani as it’s overall the best airbrush I own. i don’t know about those Chinese brushes that are everywhere all of a sudden. I can’t find an unbiased review for that gaahleri brand it seems to be decent but buy at your own risk they are made with cheaper materials etc… and may not last . these ones below will still be working 50 years from now
  5. hey guys, so i’m going to have to ship a built model to europe and i’m concerned how foam may affect my paint. i currently use mr.color clear lacquers and after doing some tests on “cured” paint it seems to damage the finish. my question is will 2 part clear be impervious to damage while being in contact with foam for long period of time? thanks any other suggestions on how to pack it would be great also

    ‘69 Nova

a couple engine pics before it goes in for good
  7. super glue is the best filler
  8. for general plastic glue I use MEK, bought a couple huge containers of it that will probably last the rest of my life. haven’t looked back since. and of course your typical super glues and super glue debonder .
  9. Just a heads up, the Michaels in St.Catharines on 4th ave. has new models in stock. The 71 Mustang, olds 442, etc. so they are carrying them again
  10. Looking forward to this one. I assumed it would be out in April like now ? I'm getting a little bored with the ford trucks though, this body style is having a problem with warped hoods in all the recent kits.. wish they sell just the wrecker bed on its own.

Started adding the bare metal foil trim. I decided to add the chrome trim on the sides, not to many Nova’s had that I think it looks cool
  12. Round tip tweezers are also better than pointy tweezers for holding small things and not shooting them across the room lol

    ‘69 Nova

Paint on the ‘69 nova, I used a purple flake, then 4 coats of candy pink, then pearl clear over everything. Then 5 coats of Mr.color gloss lacquer. Just gotta wet sand and polish it out still . Let it sit for the rest of the month to cure My Movie 41.mov
  14. Thanks guys! Just wanted to share a couple photos taken in natural sunlight
  15. Like some others, I’ve had nothing but problems with this brand, primer/clear/paint. From texture and finish issues, to cans simply not spraying anything out of them… And also with the extreme rise in cost of this paint at least where I am it’s not worth ever using again lol. I switched to Mr.color and tamiya lacquers and have had zero problems since. Duplicolor changed something and it’s garbage now.
  16. I just use Mr.color paints I find they work great and never give any problems

Wires added, you can probably guess what color the car will be now lol, oh and I had to remake the fuel line cause not only did I break it off, it also interfered with the alternator haha
  19. Started this a while back, got around to polishing the paint job today. on my kit the upper cowl was really warped so I ended up just gluing it together lol

I don’t find syringe very useful since they are impossible to cut I use micro aluminum tubing easily sliced with a knife , 0.8mm for plug boots. 0.5mm for fuel lines
  21. Working on this Revell nova.
  22. I do this on airplane models. But you use the sharp side of the blade, It works great to get the finest possible lines with no “washes” which is more realistic on car models its best to just scribe everything ahead of time though.
