Kenworth C500

A stark difference with the new cab. I see much better definition with the newer print as well as the sleeper being seperate, which is a great help. Watching with great interest. -

I totally agree. Changes the build a lot and for the better. Great ideas. This is the kind of stuff that makes a good build a GREAT build. So much talent here. -

Amazing how a small change makes a HUGE difference. Those fenders look AWESOME! I love that look. Makes them look real. I have to save that one. Thanks to you and Steve. Good stuff. -
Western Star 4900 FA plow truck

You’re welcome Brian. It is an odd shaped thing but a vital part of the plow cutting edge and its safe operation. It wears down with the cutting edge and shoes so when there is a blade change needed all those pieces need replacing. -

The nose piece is called a ‘frog’ old school term or now referred to as a ‘corner bit’ and bolts on with one bolt on the leading edge and two bolts on the plow side panel. Supposed to help the blade from hooking bridge abutments, expansion plates and rail road tracks. -
Wow. That initial detail write up was interesting. I have never studied these particular trucks as they were very rare here even in the heyday of cab overs. It takes a real expert to m ow those fine details, I had no idea. Its cool to have that knowledge to be able to identify year and model and to be able to modify a scale model to the specific details. I will be watching this with great interest, Lee. This will be good…..

Be fun to drive two sticks again. 20 forward speeds and four reverse. Cool old stuff. This would be great in real life to have that much power and two sticks. I like where this is going. Cool build Gary -
The distressed rear door decals are great ! Also , something that will make this better are the larger wheels and tires, I used an after market set for my distributor, but I think yours, being the Mobeus ties, may be a shade larger and look even better, I think that was a good choice you made, JM ! Nice engine details as well... this is cool....

Always fun to chat and toss ideas around, Gary. Any time. -
Another cool build and slight conversion. The C aeries Ford IMHO was not Ford’s greatest hour, BUT they made thousands of them and they were a stalwart work horse for many, many years. With hundreds of different uses. Don’t see many around still on the job these days, but they all did their job. I have a front row seat for this one JM. Looking forward to seeing this one come together

Thanks for those Lee. Yeah, I can’t argue, those pics ( to me anyway ) really makes the truck look clean and well set up. When it comes to the two Corn Binders I have in the stash , these will be an excellent reference. I’m not sure that exact color is available here locally, I am wondering if something like Pontiac engine blue would work. The metallic blue not the dark blue 🤔🤔. I’m really liking this build, Lee. When done it will be period correct and look the part as well. Looking forward to the next update.
