  1. Now that is very cool Ron . And perfectly period correct paint , can’t go wrong with using old sales ads for exact details. This is a beauty. And a rare unit and will be great on the shelf. I like this one… very well done. Take a bow !
  2. That green looks really good , Ron. Combined with the dark green cab, this will be very cool. Now the finicky painting starts…. And a steady hand. 😋
  3. Wow. That looks cool. Your decals are really eye catching. The new cab Bren printed is awesome, between your design skills and his printing skills , you guys make a great team. The persistence you two have to get it figured and make it right shows through in the final excellent results. Well done !!! I am looking forward to this one coming together.
  4. It is weathered exactly like Cardillo’s trucks are in real life. Clean , shiny and sharp, this is a fabulous build. Just beautiful
  5. That is Hands Down Gorgeous!!! What a beautiful build. Cardillo’s would love to see that one I would bet. Just perfect
  6. Did I sleep in ? How did I miss this beauty. ?? Great job on this Ron. A lot of work went into this … did you have to lengthen the frame? Everything looks the part and fits well. What a great vision well executed. Really nice.
  7. What a beauty ! Everything is so precise and the paint is perfect. Your choice of wheels really makes it. Outstanding.
  8. Beautiful deck board details ! I have to remind myself this is 1/32 scale , sure is coming along nicely. I really like this.
  9. Happy to see you back at the bench ,Mate. ! Also very pleased the move went through ok. Its a lot of work and huge upheaval but will be all worth it in the end. Glad you’re back ! I’m looking forward to more of your builds.
  10. With your vast knowledge of this particular movie ( and that is a compliment ) do you know if this truck still exists? It would be cool to show the current owner your build, I bet they would think it was really cool.... might be fun to find out how many if any are still out there.....
  11. This just gets better and better, this is going to be the most functional one so far. I love where this is going.
  12. Its a beautiful build , Scott. One day I hope to try one. I watch his videos as well and Cardillo’s trucks are top grade. And they take pride in jeeping them looking perfect. So your truck will fit in perfectly.
  13. I don’t like this build at all …….. I LOVE this build. !!!!!! What a master piece ! The colors are perfect and precise. This is so true to the real deal , stunning. And the decals are awesome. Is that a homage to the ‘Boston Trucker’? He drives for Cardillo doesn't he? His vids are really good. I can't wait for the next update, Scott. This is a true beauty. I love it
  14. I totally agree and can add only one more word ….. generosity. The generosity here is unparalleled …
  15. Thanks Brian , it is your inspiration that has me wanting to do more and step out of the old comfort zone. And it will be certainly unique on my shelves. I wish I had scratch skills like you as a paver would be out of this world …
  16. Trying not to get ahead of myself with the tank build, as I need to get the inside of the cab figured first, but I couldn’t help myself as I am looking at these magnificently designed and printed parts. I ‘had’ to try a little piece. So I decided to assemble the pump valve so I can measure it’s exact location so that when I locate the pump and plumbing it is also in its proper place. Jurgen has designed the handle so that it is ‘functional’ and Bren’s very precise printing made it possible , so for fun I thought I would try to see if I could make it so. The handle is a very small piece and was a great precision fit. A small piece of wire a dab of ca and a careful trim and voila ! Then I just ‘set’ it in place to measure… And then a pro and hydraulic pump assembled and mated to the transmission. A gift from Brian, ( thank you my good friend ) This will mate to the hydraulic pump at the back of the truck for the distributor. I drilled a couple small holes and added some wire ( that needs trimming) to accept the hose. Under a coat of paint it will be very convincing.
  17. This is really cool, Warren. A long time ago I saw a rendering from a manufacturer that a 1/35 Cat 140H was in the pipes but nothing so far. I will be watching your build with great interest as that was one of my main tasks just prior to my retirement. The grader can do magical things. An amazing machine. Love the old school iron. Keep going this will be great
  18. Thanks , Ron, as long as I don't have to make the payments , or crawl under it to grease and change oil 😉 It looks the very part of a heavy logging unit that would most definitely be used on Vancouver Island, a nice honor too ... you nailed the look for sure !
  19. I was going g to say the same thing as Brian. The tail light brackets and the extra bolts make a huge difference to the details. Subtle but adds great realism. And coming together really fast. I love it !
  20. Just curious, as I’m not sure this particular question has been asked yet …. I know from a little experience with the oil distributor parts ….. how forgiving are the parts you are printing for this truck? Is the material brittle or is it a bit softer like styrene ? I think Bren mentioned there is a new resin material that may prove to be not quite as brittle as the current material. Just curious …
  21. This is really cool............... now here is challenge.... to complete the 'Convoy" theme, you need to design and print and build that '56 Chevy Hippy Bus in the photo, THAT would a rally cool build... 😉
