Agreed, John. Who knows what killer blasts from the past Atlantis now has.

Looking forward to getting this Mack, as well as their upcoming Pontiac Grand Am funny car.

And in a perfect world, it would be really nice if Atlantis got the tooling for the Monroe Handler Mustang II, as well as Sunbird/Monza variants!

There would be lots of cheers if Atlantis worked out licensing deals with Ford and Chrysler like it did with GM.

  2. I got an E Mail from Atlantis and it says that the company is taking preorders for the 1920s chain driven Mack Stake Truck. It'll come from the old Monogram tooling and will even be molded in yellow and black just as the original Monogram issues were.

With the hundreds of molds that Atlantis purchased from the current owners of Revell back in 2018, the company still has quite a few number of them to crack open and see what gems that are inside.

Marc Nellis casts them, IIRC in clear red resin. He does a lot of different tail light lenses.

He's a member on here as "Marc @ MPC Motorsports" but hasn't been on here in months.

    Thank you for the lead.

  4. 6 replacement buses have arrived today and they're the final ones in my boss's year and half long endeavor to turn over the entire fleet. If all goes well, they'll be in service in the next couple of weeks. He also is sending 10 or so school buses that have been long out of commission to the big junkyard in the sky in the fall so as to tidy up the lot and open more parking space for the other buses and the personal cars of the drivers.

  5. The elementary school kids and I were so excited about the last day of school back in June that I wish that I had this type of school bus to get them home quickly for the summer break.

  6. I got not one by two calls from Comcast yesterday morning while I was reading the Boston Herald on line with my morning coffee. The employee at the other end first tried to entice me with a $50 monthly special if I got cable TV again. I said no thanks and hung up. A few minutes later, she called back and tried to use the old pressure sales move on me. I told her that if she keeps doing it, I'll get my internet service from someone else. She quickly hung up.

I got rid of paid TV in 2016 for the same reasons. Too many ads and the content that was being created wasn't worth the price. Don't miss it in the least. Occasionally I watch my sisters house and they have cable. Haven't seen anything to change my mind at this point.

Good for you. I also sent my land line phone packing the same year you pulled the cable plug since I got my flip cell phone and it's alot cheaper to use monthly . I've been living more practical mainly due to being more Conservative with my spending habits. (Except when it comes to my styrene addiction)

  8. I'm now into my fourth year without cable TV. It was getting expensive and I didn't watch it as much so it was Adios to the service. I saved almost $1300 a year and some of that was rerouted to feed my styrene addiction. One less bill means less stress.

  9. Yesterday, I ran into unusually heavy traffic on I-93 that runs through Boston after dropping off the summer day camp kids and the counselors late in the afternoon at one of the area Boy's and Girl's Club. Normally I get back to my school bus company around 6:00 PM but I ended up returning after 7:00 PM. I-93 was packed like I've never seen it before.

  10. My normally assigned school bus came back from the shop yesterday with a fully rebuilt front suspension and steering system and it was like driving a new bus. I drove a group of day camp kids and counselors to New Hampshire today on a charter and the bus drove flawlessly on Interstate 93 both ways. I'm happy.

I just got a pile of them at Wal-mart.

They ordered way to many of them a year ago and I knew they wouldn't sell. So I patiently waited and they put them on clearance...$7.50 each...

    ( I got 7 of them.)

Seven 1941 Plymouth kits for roughly the same cost as a recently reissued kit of any other car is a smokin deal in my book.
