  1. Thank you! It's a nice conversion kit, my first time working with 3d parts. It took me almost as long to pick out a paint scheme as it did to build it lol
  2. Got this cab for my birthday, it's from global trucks. Used an astro as a donor. Following mods include: *shortened the frame by around 2" *shortened the fuel tanks. *converted to single axel using the spring and axel from a freightliner *converted the 8v71 to 6v71. Also made the fan to be a crank driven one. Lowered the radiator to fit. *added little details to the interior, sunglasses, map, magazine, model car kit, curtains, and roof mounted cb. *also added roof mounted ac unit, grab handles, photo etched windshield wipers, and mudflaps.
  3. Got this finished up, will add more photos to an underglass post
  4. After finishing up the astro as a test run, I'm building the crackerbox I got for my birthday. A gmc astro donated its frame, freightliner rear axel and springs. So far I shortened the frame, fuel tanks, modified the intake and exhaust pipes, made new mud flaps, and converted the 8v71 to a 6v71.
  5. Thank you, it was definitely worth the extra time
  6. Thank you l, it was a fun project to take on
  7. Thank you, only took me two trys lol
  8. Started off as an experiment to see if I could successfully cut down a sleeper to day cab configuration. Also shortened the the frame and fuel tanks, converted to single axel. Decals are from the new reissue. Modified the cb to be more realistic and added a hat to the passenger seat
  9. Quick update, got the truck finished. I'll take more pictures tomorrow and do an under glass post. Thanks again everyone for following and have a great weekend.
  10. Took two tries but it turned out pretty well
  11. That's pretty cool! I wish I had the space for more trailers to do something similar
  12. The kits cb is almost just a face plate so I ended up making it wider. The cord was originally molded in, so I cut it off and made one out of real wire
  13. Yeah that sounds cool let's see some pictures of it!
  14. Got the interior done. Modified the kits c/b
  15. Got the frame painted and assembled. Chopped up and modified the kits exhaust to work with the shorter wheelbase. Trying to settle on a color for the cab and running the air foil or not.
  16. Spent a good part of the day fiddling around with mount locations. Shortened the fuel tanks as well
  17. Shortened the frame and swapped to a single drive
  18. What started off as an experiment is turning into another build. The wife ordered me the cracker box conversion from global trucks for my bday, so I got an astro as a donor. Figured I'd try my hand at chopping done the astro cab since I wasn't going to use it. Ended up turning out better than I thought it would so now I'm gonna build it too and order another astro or titan kit lol.
  19. Got this one wrapped up last night, added tools and a cooler to the bed, just need to gas up and I'm ready to run!
