  1. The straight six would require moving frame rails around and shortening the torque tube. So I'll probably run the flathead instead. Now to figure out the turbo setup. I'm thinking either over the right side, but I need to make sure I have the room for the radiator hose. Or an it's setup in the bed. Also drilled some holes in the front drop axel
  2. So far I'm leaning toward the stovebolt .found this chrome valve cover in my stash, would make it look closer to a 235/261 engine. One thing I like is the 6 doesn't have the exhaust manifolds molded in so it would be easier to build up the turbo set up. I'll start building them both for now
  3. I thought about that too
  4. Got it down to 3 engine options. Some sort of ford(/Lincoln?) V8, a 34' ford flathead with some aftermarket heads, or stovebolt chevy 6 with a homemade turbo kit
  5. I've got a complete 34 ford frame and suspension, a bed from another 34 ford, 29 ford roadster cab so far. I think the plan will be to cut down the bed and bob the frame
  6. Gonna see what I can build out of just left overs
  7. Got this one wrapped up. Body mods include radius cut quarters, de-trimmed. I had painted the car black, but had issues with the paint like the other one so I stripped it down and painted it a matching gold color. Also set the firewall back and removed the splash shields.
  8. Thank you, yes it is!
  9. Interior is finished. Rear seat delete, modified the roll cage to a 6 point, pistol grip style to go with the Mopar drive train. Also added the tach, wiring, and painted the needles
  10. Working on the interior. Rear seat delete, modified the roll cage.

I've always liked the shoebox ford's, I had one a few years ago that was good little driver with the flathead. I wanted to turn mine into a gasser with the 468 BBC I had but it didn't pan out ha

Got this one wrapped up, now to focus on car #2(it has its own build page)
  14. Got the chassis and engine painted and assembled
  15. Decided to swap out the kits engine options with a fi hemi from the Lil red wagon kit. Cut out the splash shields, moved the firewall back, and trimmed the interior tub to set the motorback.
  16. As some of you might know from my other post I had some paint issues with my other 49 ford paint, and ended up ordering another kit for the body. I already had a spare body in my stash, but I had already radius cut the quarter panels. So the new kits chassis will be built as a vintage drag car.

    1949 ford

I had issues with my paint job and the body was damaged beyond use when I tried to strip it down. Long story short I ordered another kit. I already had a spare body that I had radius cut the quarters, so that body will become a drag car

Finished up the interior. Added magazines and car club plate to the rear shelf. The front seats are the optional buckets from the 34 ford pickup kit.

Mocking up stuff now, think I'm gonna run this front end. Now trying to decide if I want to shave the trim and handles

Gonna build it as a mild custom so first up is figuring out the power plant. Currently leaning towards the caddy motor, but I do love flathead so it's up in the air for now
