  1. I originally had my heart set on the alaskan hauler kenworth or the the peterbilt 359 California hauler, but found it hard to justify $60+ dollars. So im going with this gmc general i found at my local wally world. Im undecided on style and colors,(wont be coke), but ive got one or two builds ahead before i decide
  2. Just need to touch up a few spots but this ones pretty much done, ill get better pictures when the snow eventually melts
  3. Heres my movie truck from a few years ago lol. Need to decide what to build
  4. Front bumpers complete, the front spoiler turned out pretty well
  5. Thanks its been pretty fun working on this one
  6. Got the rear bumper done. Parts box bumper stickers,( the ITS 55 sticker is fitting because the cannonball was started in protest of the 55mph speed limit). Made the flip down license plate bracket and fuel cap. Utah plates because thats where i live. I borrowed an idea from the moon shiners of the 40s and added the second plate when the brackets flipped all the way down
  7. The way everything fits on the car, im gonna have to put the electric fan on as a puller so im not sure if itll fit too
  8. Got my racing seats in today and made my own 4 point harnesses
  9. Debating on running this external oil cooler i built. Thoughts?
  10. Made a ton of progress on the nova. Painted its toyota "cashmere beige metallic", should some what blend in with traffic now haha. Also got the cowl hood and racing seats in today
  11. Dash is almost complete, just waiting for my cb radios. Added toggle switchs under the dash, theyll run the pump for the fuel cell to refuel the tank, kill switches for the brake and tail lights, ect.
  12. Thanks! This is the most scratch building ive done on a single car
  13. First part of the cars equipment to (hopefully) not get caught by the law. I coundnt find any one making gps units or radar detectors, so i built my one out of scrap parts
  14. Decided the stock gauges and dummy lights werent cutting it so i built this insert with racing gauges. Also moved the steering column up closer to where it would be on a 1:1 car. Fabbed up a turn signal switch as well.
  15. Got the fuel cell assembled. The fuel filler will exit through the quarter glass. The smaller line is the vent, its looped incase of a rollover
  16. Got the modified fuel cell all assembled. The fuel neck will be accessed through the quarter glass. The smaller line is the vent, its looped incase of a rollover
  17. Thanks!
  18. Ill do one if theres gonna be a build off
  19. I decided to modify the large tank into an even bigger tank rather than run 3 smaller ones. The thought process behind this is to speed up refueling and the weight of the car wouldnt be thrown off as each tank was used up. This is a rough mock up ill smooth it up when everything dries
  20. Thats a good point i didnt think of, thanks!
  21. While i wait for my modified fuel cell to dry, i started experimenting with scratch building front and rear spoilers out of brass. Kind of going for an old school trans-am series - pro-touring hybrid
  22. Im thinking of setting the large tank in place of the back seat area and making a quarter glass filler neck. In reality that should take care of fumes and speed up fueling time. I'd imagine it would be relatively afe being somewhat protected by the roll bar ( except may in a roll over?)
  23. Thats usually how it goes for me as well
  24. Yeah in the article he said he ventilated pretty well so almost no fumes but i do agree with you there. Thank you! Its definitely different than my normal builds
  25. Got lucky today. I slipped down icy steps bringing in some parts i painted in my garage last night. I found everything but one shock. I figured it was lost in the 2 feet of snow but low and behold i found it today at lunch
