  1. Definitely not the coke version lol. I might do a blue and white two tone. I thought about ford Wimbledon white on the frame and i wanna change the wheels to the spoke style ones of the autocar kit since theyre bigger and would fill up that wheel well a little better
  2. Ha thats pretty cool
  3. Got the chassis painted( still need to add the shocks and paint the body plugs black). Couldnt find a definitive answer on what color it supposed to be, so i primed it, dusted some body color on, and painted the fuel tank and front assembly since they would have been added later down the assembly line and not had over spray. I also dusted black in the wheel arches, from what info i could find thats what they did to cover up the overspray that would be visible
  4. That would be wild if it was you!
  5. Heres my entry for the 2023 BRGB, a gmc general. Will mostly be box stock, may change out the wheels since im not a fan of the small 10x20 wheels.
  6. The few i had were always reliable and fun to work on compared to the new stuff haha
  7. I always liked the slant 6 motors,(almost bought a duster a few years back with one).
  8. My '60 was a short bed step side, unfortunately i tore it down to rebuild and sold it as well. Later i had a 60 gmc and a 63 custom cab short bed fleet side. Those are good looking rides!
  9. My first vehicle was a 1960 chevy pick up with the 235, so much room for activities under that hood lol
  10. Got the motor done, added some details
  11. Thanks! The only vehicle i had with 3 on the tree was a 1950 ford four door and it definitely took some getting used to
  12. Looks like its supposed to be there!
  13. Got the engine partially assembled with the oil pan flipped and its new manual trans
  14. Looks even stranger in a '69 with their more muscular body lines
  15. The closest ive found to this in real life is a super-charged packard straight 8 on youtube, and that thing sounds so sweet! Its definitely an idea im thinking of trying after i get a few other builds out of the way
  16. I had a few pick ups with inline 6s but never a car. I always thought they were cool because they're different than a sbc
  17. Thanks for the pictures! Theres not a ton online, like you said most are v8s now, so this is good reference material
  18. I ordered one of these kits just for the bike, thinking of cutting the cars fenders off and building a racer out of it too now....
  19. Ill see if i can move it, if not ill wait till im done and finish my post
  20. Thank you! Should be a fun little side project
  21. Thanks!
  22. I figured the manual gives a little sportiness even with the little six. Same here, as much as i love big horse power cars, the little daily people movers have a lot of character of thier own.
  23. The camaro didnt show up today with the nova but luckily i have an old glue bomb i built years ago to study in the meantime. After partially assembling the engine i ran into problems. The first is the engine is molded with what i assume a 2 speed powerglide,( i want a standard on this project). The second problem is that the oil pan is molded to the block the wrong way and wont clear the cross member. So out came the razor knife to remove them. Second i found a gm manual transmission in the parts box( which is a lot more detailed than the kits transmission)
  24. Had a crazy idea the other day and decided to give it a try. It seems everyone that builds a first gen camaro does them as a twin turbo ls or big block track/drag car. So im doing the opposite, building a boring, low option camaro. Im starting with a '68 z28 and for the motor i ordered the '63 nova wagon. The idea behind this build is a car that maybe an old spinster frugal aunt ordered. She decided one day to trade in her old Pontiac or buick for a smaller, sportier new camaro. Should be a fun build to try.
  25. I always jokes safety 3rd lol
