Its my favorite way of building lol
-
Building this one for a friend. I used the nova wagon that donated its drivetrain to my camaro project, and used the sbc from the camaro in the nova. I swapped the intake for a weiand high rise i had from a 66 nova, parts box pulley and belts. I ended up adding a second exhaust pipe since the chassis had one molded in it for the 6cyl. The 20inch torque thrust wheels are modified ones from a revell pickup kit.

Thanks everyone! -
Just got this one finished, i ordered all the pieces i needed to build the 2 in 1 woody/pickup kit from my trog build. I modified an optional firewall i had from the '32 phaeton kit and recessed it to clear the v8. The grill, headlights, and radiator are from a revell 29 ford rat rod kit. The spare tire also came from the 32 ford phaeton kit. The tail lights are from the model T 2in1 kit. The rear window panels are from a monster energy drink that i dusted with a blue-purple paint so itll sparkle in the sun like the cowl and spare tire. The skull and cross bones is a modified charm. The blue is gm metallic bahama blue, the brown and tan are camo paint, the roof is primer black, and the fenders are gloss. Also added plug wires to the engine.

Ive got a ton of time after work to do whatever so i go through kits like crazy lol. Thanks for letting me join in! -
Finally wrapped this this guy up. Amt GMC General, diamond REO wheels and tires to replace the small kit ones. Added some big chrome stacks and mud flap decals, other than that right out of the box. This thing was super warped and fought me the whole way so im glad it turned out as well as it did. The frame is gloss white. Mud flaps are a nissan white. The body is ford Wimbledon white and gm Bahama metallic blue. Interior is primer that i clear coated.

Frames done, starting on the body. The hood and sleeper were pretty warped so its been a struggle. Thinking of running these straight pipes on this rig -
Thank you! Growing up in the 90s/2000s i honestly thought all the old cars were factory hotrods lol
